The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Keith Andrews appointed at Brentford
themanupstairs replied to cp40's topic in Football
Aye. Yer did. -
I'm fairly certain, based on nothing at all, that Ashley is seeking legal advice on how to get rid of this sack of shit. At least that's what I have convinced myself. Al Pards' excuses and explanations in the media are at an all-time high when it comes to the illogical, senseless rubbish he is serving up. I have convinced myself that he knows it's twitchy arse time now, and that he'll be out on said twitchy arse relatively soon. Some time in the next 6 years.

There's a wafer thin paper between the two, both are utter shyte. I'd take the dignified and honest shyte over the classless spineless loose shyte any day. -
Yaya Toure moved to Barcelona from that poor league Edit: He ended up at Barca. Spent a year at Monaco. Still. Point stands

Which makes it the wrong decision IMO. If they do go down, he has the experience of managing on a budget in the lower division, and could have given him a crack at bringing them back up. -

Unlucky old chap. Front of house might not be his thing. Maybe he's better suited to coaching. -
Wasn;t that Robert?

Cabaye back from injury Think he meant Jonas.

Maybe if the players could see a method behind the madness (or shiteness) that is Pardew's management, they would still be up for it knowing the club was going places. Was plotting to build. Some sort of footballing philosophy that could attract some good players in the future (within our budget). Maybe they'd buy into what the manager had to say, and remain motivated for the rest of the season. Maybe if he would play some of the youth, and give the seniors the responsibility of looking after them in matches, it might motivate one or two of the senior characters in the squad. As it is, Shola Ameobi comes on 3-0 down with 5 minutes left. As far as the clear and present evidence on the football pitch, since this fraud took over (bar the 433 run of 6 or 7 games which has never been implemented correctly since then), it's obvious that his ad hoc approach to player management, and apparent extensive detail on how to stop the opposition, is not something any of the players enjoy, and it's been obvious to them that it will take us nowhere. Football is about enjoyment. For the players and the fans alike. Our players certainly are NOT enjoying their football at all, and in turn, neither are the fans. Successful managers are....successful...because they understand this very simple equation. Pardew is a selfish chancer with no class, and a massive ego that has no justification whatsoever. It's not only that his football is rotten, HE himself is a rotten individual.

Nothing. Nothing at all. He's not even good at anything in particular either.

I'm not advocating we buy any of these players just to be clear but I think they are preferable to Cisse; Carroll, Benteke, Long, Jelavic, Lambert, Rodriguez etc. We will probly end up having to keep him due to how poorly our club is ran But all things being equal I don't personally I don't feel he has the required attributes to take us forward This argument about "can't create anything for himself" is just irksome. Surely you would want a well-functioning TEAM effort to get the service to the striker(s) whomever they may be. If Cisse was slightly capable of creating something for himself, and scored one or two goals in the last few games, it would just paper over massive gaping cracks (Loic Remy does, and we're still a s*** team with him on the pitch). The pont is simple he can't do a lot of things. He can't hold it up well He can't run in behind He can't link play well Its not about him creating chances for himself its about fitting in to a overall structure. Tactically if you select Cisse you are limiting yourself as you have to make him the focal point of the team and IMO he's not good enough to fill this roll. Cisse in our current shambolic set up doesn't do any of the above things you mention. That is true. But even if he could, it would paper over some massive gaping cracks.

We need to go back to 433, and get the best out of our players. One or two clever additions in the summer and we'll be mint. Gouffran Borini Cisse Cisse must stay.

Up front he is. Not on the wing though. There's a sparkle in his eyes when he gets it on the touchline, robs a defender or two of their anal virginity with his blistering pace, and puts in a pin-point cross on the head of a late-arriving Vurnon Anita. Its the consistency with which he does it that impresses. If only Vurn Anits wasn't such a woeful footballer. Cisse on the wing is the future.
-
Wrong move at the wrong time for this lad. Bad deal for both himself and NUFC.
-
The one bright spot from yesterday's nightmare. Superb selection by Al Pards. Love those dinked forward balls out to the wingers. Really gives the ballboys a chance to see the opposition superstars close up (e.g. Evra) take a mean throw-in.

A little bit of a winning mentality. That'll do for Mike Ashley Please tell me that's a joke quote, he hasn't really said that surely. Where have you been? He said that after the Everton game.
-
Clearly he's the solution to our problems on the right wing. Clearly.

Official: Yoan Gouffran signs new contract with Goztepe
themanupstairs replied to Tooj's topic in Football
Never a winger. Likeable lad who gave a huge amount of effort all season. Looks totally sapped now, and has probably caught on by now that we're going nowhere football wise under Pards. -
It took this f***ing long? Or are you joking...serious question.... Has to be a joke. I'm just stumped man. It's gotten personal now between pards and myself. I never wanted him here, never accepted him, and wanted him gone since the first cringeworthy interview he gave that fateful December. He is by FAR the worst manager we've had in my 23 years supporting the club. It hurts.
-
Very good post. Who the hell are you?
-
Right. That's it. Enough is enough. This game has convinced me that Al Pards isn't the right man for this job.
-
Tbh in my experience, I've found that a lot of Pardew's supporters want Ashley out, and for a good owner to come in and "let Pards manage". They think he's some sort of incapacitated genius waiting to unleash his outstanding managerial skills under a better owner.
