  1. We wouldn't have lost the game in years gone by, I don't think Swansea had a shot all game. Not on target they didn't. Had a dangerous chance that Sinclair put wide. Other than that, Krul made ONE catch from a corner, and that was it
  2. Reckon he was running on empty by the time he was taken off. Looked fine to me.
  3. I have no problem with the rest of what he said. Swansea did defend well, and were worth their point no doubt. I have no problem with him praising them whatsoever. The paragraph I quoted made it sound like our game plan was to contain them rather than go for the jugular. It's a sentiment I'd understand if we'd been playing away, or been playing a big side. Not Swansea at home, who've gained all of 2 points away all season!
  4. With all due respect to Swansea, Pardew sounds like he's talking about some big hitting side. I would even understand if he'd been saying this after a game away at their place. It's still Swansea City ffs, and our aim should be to win at home no matter what. What about the 2nd half Mr. Pardew?
  5. I think that's what it boils down to ultimately. At that stage of the game, don't really understand why we need "wingers" any more than we need creativity to unlock a defence, win dangerous freekicks or even a penalty. Ben Arfa would have put them on the back foot and should have come on for Obertan or Jonas when Shola came on for Best.
  6. Figueroa is a massive train wreck of a footballer. Really diabolical
  7. Fuck me what a finish by Sturridge!! Retarded celebration though as per
  8. Someone's bound to get a hammering at SJP at some point. Hope it will be this shower of shit.
  9. Drogba is such a fantastic player, but he's also such a fucking fruitcake poof! Unbelievable what a soft shite he is.
  10. Pardew is looking a bit one dimensional. The amount of control we had for 70 odd min and the fact they were sitting deep would mean HBA would have time on the ball and we could go at it with a bit more creativity. Really baffling decision to keep him off the pitch. This is the sort of result managers should be held accountable for imo.
  11. The buck stops with Pardew on this one. He's waxed lyrical about Ben Arfa being a player that "will excite the Geordie public" and all that waffle, and he's not used him in a home match against a side that had only 2 away points prior to this fixture. His system worked in the first half, but it didn't in the 2nd. Apart from fitness issues there is no excuse for not bringing Ben Arfa on along with Shola, when he eventually did make a sub. Pathetic.
  12. Having a torrid time up against Best Ba. Committed a few needless fouls which could have cost them. Built like a tank with 2 left feet.
  13. Should have watched a tape of Nathan Redmond's performance on Thursday. Exactly what is required from Obertan in this team, and we know he has what it takes to do it. Not sure he does mind
  14. Would love a handsome win here and clean sheet. 4-0 come on!!!
  15. Definitely Pardew's biggest test is this difficult period where he has to get the players who are available to mirror the football and the results achieved by the full-strength team. If we get maximum points from Swansea and WBA, I'll start truly believing we can achieve that top 7 finish.
  16. Mehdi Abeid starts? Good stuff! Will be good to see what this lad's made of.
  17. Coming from someone whose links to the club don't extend beyond a computer screen? Wow! Just wow!
  18. Yet you still feel the need to compare it to the Enrique situation, grow up. December 2010 - Enrique hadn't signed a new contract. August 2010 - Enrique signs for Liverpool. December 2011 - Coloccini hasn't signed a new contract. Enough trolling man
  19. Shudder at the thought. Hate the jammy cunts but fair play to them. Would love NUFC to have been in that draw.
