    F*ck Spurs

having a medical now at Tottenham Spurs
  5. I personally have my own racist reasons
  6. Then he's not suited to being a football owner. Partly true. It also means he could one day turn around and say f*** it, I want to win the Champions League in 2 years, splashing out on all sorts of galacticos Not exactly shown that kinda desire. I dunno, what about when he announced his favourite player was Alan Smith That just made me think he might be gay. or he could admire Smith's sheer brilliance with a ball at his feet Is that some kind of s&m reference? for some reason i read that as sheer balliance with brill at his feet
  7. Then he's not suited to being a football owner. Partly true. It also means he could one day turn around and say fuck it, I want to win the Champions League in 2 years, splashing out on all sorts of galacticos
  8. It's the left hand side that I think Jonas will rip to shreds. Dos Santos tracking back? hmmmm. no.
  9. I put Spurs slightly ahead of Pompey now. I agree, Spurs are doing very well, I just think traditional "big" clubs like Newcastle, Villa and Everton seem to be stood around doing bugger all, sneering at Redknapp, whilst he puts together a pretty impressive set up. Mmmmmmm not sure about spurs. there main problem for the last few years has been lack of strength, physically, defensivly and i don't see that being remidied. i can see sours going 4-2-3-1 next season but i have no idea who their vital "2" will be. Veloso and/or Albelda are the two high up in the list of options, though wanting them and getting them are two totally different things. That said, with our dealings in this window, I'm reluctant to discount anybody as pie in the sky wishful thinking. See my previous post MJ. Who sits on the bench if a DM is indeed brought in though? The popular guess for the team is Gomes Hutton - King/backup - Woodgate - Bale Veloso/Albelda - Zokora/Jenas Bentley - Modric - Dos Santos Arshavin Villa/Bent/Milito The Lennons/Gilbertos/back up CB's will get a good degree of action, I've no doubt about that, varying on whether we're home or away, the ability of the opposition etc. The most noticeable thing about the pre-season matches so far is the flexibility of the players as they interchange with positions, Bale operating as an attacking LM, Modric sometimes dropping back to holding MF etc etc. Of course it's easy to go over the top about it when you're playing Orient and Norwich but style of play seems to be in place and there are more players to follow. The one thing that is obvious is that Ramos has a clear vision of how he wants his team to play, who he needs to achieve it and Levy (providing the money) and Comolli (convincing the players) are doing the business for Ramos. How's it paid for? Well, nothing is cheap at Spurs, boxes, ST's, etc, £70m+ for Berbatov (when he goes), Keane, the Sunderland 3 and Kaboul, the strict salary structure, they're all contributing to the availability of funds. There's no doubt in my mind that the overdraft will increase but the ITK's are agreed that our accounts won't be showing any worse than any other club. All spurs ITKs are agreed that you're going to be playing 12 in a team this year? Surely that wouldn't be allowed  12 on the field does help!! I copied/pasted that from a Spurs forum, no one's said a bloody word for the past couple of hours! OK, I accept it there will be problems in fitting them all in! Arshavin does look a bit out of place. I'd steer well clear
  10. I'm in agreement that provided the press is correct about us making a bid (and I believe them on this one), and we f*** it up, there is no one to blame but the club itself. Coloccini is a high calibre footballer you cannot miss out on for that price. Especially more so as it would mean we are relatively sorted in defence. Would be a bonus to swap Duff with Warnock, but imo we could make do without him. Pull your fingers out big mike/3 wise men/KK. PLEASE!!!!!!!! Having said that, I have a gut feeling that the Newcastle delegation to Mallorca will get this sorted out, and he will travel back with the rest of the squad. Just a hunch mind.

  12. So we've had Gerrards 'its our year'. We've had the Arsenal 'selling their 'best' players and buying on the cheap argument'. We've had the annual Chelsea/Man U bitchfest. We've had the annual transfer saga (Ronaldo). And now we've had the Spurs 'Going to break the top 4' malarky. Anything left to complete the summer? Top Newcastle striker out for first 6 months of the season?
  13. Than it was when? Old board, I didn't want to say it because we all know what follows after that Not really fair to compare tbh. We bought some real s**** under the old lot and have bought some real s**** under this lot. In actual fact all this stuff about 'policies' is a load of bollocks iyam. We just wanted young players, yet Jonas is 26. We didn't want anyone from South America, then got Jonas. We didn't want to pay big money, but we 'supposedly' pay Viduka et al loads of money. We've 'supposedly' offered this guy twice what he's on now. All us as fans can do is wait and see who we get and how they turn out. and there-in boys and girls lies the art of rocket science
  14. We blatantly tapped him up, told him we'd give him a signing on fee to at least match him buying out his contract and offered him a good wage. most probably true....but in very best man utd style "prove it" the good thing is,if true and the coloccini agents repaorts....we have been doing stuff away from the medias gaze for the past few months. i wonder what else there is ? What nobody has said that the negotiations regarding Sideshow Fab could be described as tapping up. After all, the agent has said publically that NUFC have negotiated both the proposed transfer fee and personal terms with the agent, not Deportivo. Is it not illegal to approach players without the prior approval of the club? Similarly, the scenario The Gorilla proposed is (imo) almost certainly close to the truth. Which, again, would be illegal, but simply impossible to police... As i understand it, Depor accepted our initial bid, but then later decided to up the asking price. We would have negotiated personal terms in between
  15. could some of our resident photoshop experts quickly get up a photo with Fab in a toon shirt? maybe if we visualize it hard enough it'll happen!
  16. who? Smith, Shola and Duff. in theory, they could
  17. Seriously Translates as: However, Lendoiro seeks compensation for the summer of investments that will be futile if the proposed transfer to Newcastle Coloccini continued: "Depor have spent thousands of euros population towards the shelves of stores club with Fabricio wigs. Dennis Wise 'll have to buy all those wigs, and compensate our fans for the emotional harm of accidental purchase of cross-dressing products. " class James
  18. dummy ? watch it closely link? pretty sure there'll be a youtube of it was trying to get you banned madras think it was a bit of a shimmy and a bit of mis-control myself
  19. dummy ? watch it closely link?
  20. If Krul was a fledgling keeper at Arsenal or Man U he'd be going for at least 5 or 6 million himself. Look at the price bandied about for Carson when he first broke onto the scene.
  21. thats a bit like having Terry and Ferdinand at the back when they were both 21 yr olds isn't it?
  22. Despite the fact that I rate both Given and Harper as high quality premiership standard keepers (with Shay at point one of the best), I really do not think we should stunt Krul's development. I know it's early days for him yet, but from a personal point of view, I wouldn't want him to get itchy feet and end up pissing off somewhere else. I think he is the biggest hope we have of a youngster becoming a fixture in our side and his international side. Love Given personally, and have met the chap on one occasion in Cyprus, and he was terrific. But if he's gotta go, he's gotta go.
