  1. Aye, we were 2-0 up as well. I was absolutely fuming. Dark days, them.
  2. Yep, was an absolute nightmare like. Missed a couple of them because of this. Wouldn't happen nowadays at least!
  3. Absolutely one of the highlights, if not thee best moment, of my time supporting Newcastle. Just went absolutely nuts when Bellars tucked that away.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/470284.jpg/ Not quite Shit Direct, but its close enough to the tackyness that we could be facing next year. This team is Bray Wanderers, Irish team. It's a depressing thought.
  5. I have: Barca B- win Hercules- win Alcorcon- win Sabadell- win £1 returns £15! Totally know what I'm doing...
  6. His lack of due diligence which ultimately will lead to us being stuck with him unless someone of Man City's owners type wealth comes in to save the day. His lack of due dilligence was a godsend, hate to think where we'd have been without it. However bad he's been. I agree with what you're saying, and I too acknowledge what Ashley did- and financially has done for us- but we can't keep saying this after every insult, lie, and catastrophic decision thrown our way. You would think that four years on he would have adapted and learnt from mistakes. But as we continuously see, he simply doesn't. Literally every season he has been here uproar (mid-season, too) has been caused by something rash, needless or completely illogical. I'm very pleased to see where we are in the table and that what we have achieved so far is through prudent spending on players, but as .com have said....will whatever we receive- if we ever do find a sponsor- help us that much? I don't think so. Not one bit. Ashley should be working towards qualifying for Europe as that in itself would bring in good money. He simply cannot keep going the way he is.
  7. If NR are jacking it in at the end of the season, then I think I'll be looking to snap up as much of our current gear as possible tbh- because I can guarantee you I will not be touching a single thing of ours with SD on it. Mind you, dying to get one of those retro shirts with the blue star on. Looks mint. £25, too
  8. Hope you pelted him with eggs. I had a whole chicken in my shopping bag, shame I don't loaf that at the clown. His mate would of swallowed it in one, though...
  9. To be fair to him, at least he's doing something. Standing there with a sign saying 'Sack the board', though?
  10. Walked past the stadium today and that absolute eejit who's always black and white from head to toe was standing outside the club shop with a sign saying 'Sack The Board'. Had two side kicks with him- one being a horrendously fat kid. Cringe didn't do it justice.
  11. I'd rather be left behind Exactly what came into my mind.
  12. So we need the extra money to compete? We seem to be competing alright at the moment, don't we? Extra £10m or no extra £10m, it won't help us compete with Man City or Man Utd. They'll always have more spending power than us. Fucking stupid cunts. As has been said, I'd happily vandalise any signs (new)- afterall, their vandalising our stadium.
  13. Didn't know Valley Parade was now the Coral Window Stadium?
  14. Desperate times calls for desperate, desperate measures. Fucking hell they'd have more of a clue than Ashley, and they probably can't even fucking talk.
  15. Would probably get the boot if he didn't. Still, I'd rather sit on the dole than call it that...
  16. What will really, really, reaaally tip me over the edge is if they take down that 'St. James Park' writing on the wall outside the Milburn reception.
  17. Won't be allowed in, remember. Colour co-ordinated t-shirts then. Like I said earlier, co-ordinated cards held aloft across the stands spelling out St James' Park. Maybe in a different country, mate. But not here. You can't even stand at a game here, let alone organise an unofficial display. Great idea though.
  18. Imagine this happening in German football? The reaction of the fans would be nothing but fierce protection to their ground and history. Even in Italy, Netherlands....but of course here nowt will be done. We'll moan on internet forums, spell words wrong on bedsheets and almost refuse to believe it. But, in saying that, the position us as fans now have in the football food-chain is somewhere right at the bottom, rotting away. Hence, we have no say or no control in whatever goes on. I will always love Newcastle United, but I'm rapidly falling out of love with the way football is run (marketed) in this country at the highest level.
  19. From that Mirror article, a club source: "We are not disrespecting the history or heritage or the fans" Fuck off and die.
  20. I don't think it'll affect the players or our form one bit. It just saddens a number of increasingly apathetic fans. In fact I'm not even sure I could say 'most' fans any more. I'm not a Geordie so I find it strange that defacing the stadium annoys me more than some. Same.
  21. People buying twice the amount of beer and pies at HT.
  22. I always hear 'The Etihad' from the media. Surely this one will be laughed off?
