Won £36 off £4. Had us, Dortmund, Wolves and Lazio all to win. Lazio scored in the last few minutes, thank fuck! Put a fiver on Bayern, Barca, Sligo, Sporting Lisbon and AC Milan all to win. Sligo 0-1 down at HT

The lad hasn't put a foot wrong in the last few games, been really consistent and of course his goal today topped it off! I must say he's completely surprised me this season by looking like a competent footballer

Horrendous day of betting. Had two accys on, one of which is still alive after wins from the Toon and Borussia Dortmund- just need Wolves and Lazio to win tomorrow and I get £36 of £4. I pray.

Although Ben Arfa could serve as a potent threat towards Everton on the wing, I certainly wouldn't be keen on playing him in front of Simpson. Simpson is vulnerable enough as it is and, imo, I don't think Ben Arfa would offer him much- if any- protection from Drenthe/Baines. If we were to play Ben Arfa ahead of Santon then I'd see it a bit differently. For me I'd probably go for the team that started vs Stoke but with Marv replacing Obertan.

I'm honestly surprised at the 'shrug of the shoulders' attitude amongst Newcastle fans amongst this. As usual with us, there's one been stand your feet and shout moment when things like these happen but then we never bother to stand up for ourselves again. It's absolutely hideous what has/is being done to our fantastic stadium. I know there's not a whole lot we can do atm, but people really need to make the board well aware that vandalising St.James' Park with those god awful signs just is not an option. In times like these in modern football the heritage and pride of St.James' is something that must be fought for, because there's not a whole lot of soul left in any clubs these days imo. I think that were this to happen on the continent, ie in Italy, Germany or Holland etc then there would be absolute uproar about it, followed by rigorous protests.

I have a bad feeling more SD signs could be going up on the Gallowgate end about the club shop and Shearers. The builders outside it seem to have the same equipment they had with them when they put up the latest ones on outside the Milburn. Absolutely tragic whats happening to our stadium.
-
The only thing I'm worried about is if they come here and try to 'park the bus' and just shut up shop from the beginning. If that leads to us getting frustrated it could be a nervy afternoon. But, I'm sure it won't come to that- we have enough quality to see them off like. I'd definitely start with Ben Arfa and Marveaux in this.

The sheer fact that this is called the 'best league in the world' is absolutely fucking laughable! This completely supports my opinion of that. It is the greediest, most corporate soul-sucking league in the world, not the fucking best! It is quite sad to see that we're at the stage where traditions and any sort of competitive nature is trying to stamped out like a fire. But, still, I will follow...

Felt like crying with happiness when Shola scored! Unbelievable. There is no better club to support than NUFC (at the moment)!!! Unbeaten @ SPORTSDIRECT.COM

I'm looking to do my Level 2 this year. Is the course(work) hard? And is the assessment hard to pass?
-
Because, sadly, he owns the club and therefore leaves us powerless onlookers as he tarnishes and vandalises our club, our stadium and our history and identity. He makes the rules- and they fucking suck!

Anyone know how much it costs to get your seat moved as a season ticket holder?

When do these get answered?

If a disappointing transfer window and failure to sign another striker was something a manager would resign over then about 3/4 of Premiership managers and most in the Football League will be handing in their notice. .com and especially True Faith are becoming boringly repetitive with articles that sound like they've been written by moody or hysterical schoolgirls. Generally I enjoy reading .com and true faith, but the latter especially have the most depressing of reads! Most of the time I agree with the general concept of what they say, but by god can it make you depressed!

Imo it would be nailed on relegation if he walked/got the chop. No one in their right mind would want to work for us after that- and the ones that would are the likes of Joe Kinnear etc. And we all now how that goes. He must stay. He absolutely must.

Fair point. I'll still bicker though, if needs be. There's two sides to every story, however with both sides so ardent in this one as to who's right, we'll be here for another 100+ pages and still have to agreement. Personally I think if the club could just for once learn the golden rule of 'if it's not broken then don't fix it', then we wouldn't be having this conversation. I haven't gotten to a game with my season ticket yet, but I'll be at the next one and the rest. If the atmosphere really is that unsavoury amongst our own supporters I really think I'll just move to the back of the Gallowgate. Sounds fairly hassle free to sing and stand there...

Going to a football match in England (certainly at the top level) is quite the joke, tbh. I struggle to imagine any other countries in or outside Europe with such a restriction on standing.. Other countries have large proportions of their grounds standing every week and no one is hurt or killed- and because of this, the atmosphere is generally a whole lot better when there are large standing areas, I think that's just a fact. As has been stated, people are allowed to stand at rugby matches and various other sporting events- for god sake people even stand before and at half time during matches! So how is it a 'danger' at a football match? I just find it so, so frustrating how ignorant the authorities are to the concept of safe standing. Even since the introduction of all seated stadia in Britain thousands of fans have stood every week, yet there have been no catastrophes! So I would love them to give us some answer to how safe standing will not enhance a matchday experience! With the technology they have now it is more than possible to keep crowd numbers under control. Also, it would end tension between fans with different perceptions on how one should enjoy a match day and we wouldn't have ridiculous endless-bickering threads like this one!
