  1. If it's anything less than 3 then I give up on referees.
  2. So after our entire injured strikeforce starts to get back, our entire first-choice midfield then gets injured, including our best player for the season. Sometimes you have to think what the point is. It f**ks up a chance of getting 5th but I doubt we'll go any lower than 6th. It shouldn't effect us THAT much if we keep our heads but it's yet another big blow.
  3. As I said in the other thread, the tackle was awful in every way but he gains a bit of respect for apologising to Anichebe in person.
  4. Had a good run from the middle of March to the end of April last year, scoring 14 and conceding four with four clean sheets. Not a great run of form if you're a half decent team, but better than what we've manged this season so far, and look unlikely to. That's fair enough but I think it's a bit inaccurate to link the team playing at that stage to be wonder players. They hit some good form, and that was that. Not saying it wasn't good, but those were the same players who turned out a fair few w**k performances as well.
  5. Really? Good to hear. How are they doing in that league do you know?
  6. What teams were you passing off the park? If it was a prolonged period of time then I certainly missed it.
  7. The Everton Ladies Football Team are 2nd in their league. Why the f**k aren't we 2nd in our league? Sack the board.
  8. The tackle can never be defended in a million years but he does gain a bit of respect for apologising to Anichebe in person.
  9. You lot always seem to turn out some sort of a performance against us, and today it was defensive stability, barring the 2 first half chances. We were abysmal, no way around that. The only excuse I give is when you have your whole first team midfield out, including the one bit of real class in the match going off after 5 minutes, I didn't expect much else. The less said about the game the better.
  10. I'd have taken a point at kick off. I'd have certainly taken a point at half time. Would you have taken a point when Loven had a sitter infront of him and we were easily on top we had had 1 shot to their 5? Yes. You werent paying attention to their 5 shots then were you. Half chances at best, Loven puts that away we go on to win the game. Thats reality for you, we've missed a chance. I know, I mean you were making Howard work a lot, all those lunges across his goal. The reality for you, is it was a pathetically awful game, and if the FA docked both of us points, there should be few complaints.
  11. I'm not sure if I can articulately describe the agony I went through watching that game. S***e, awful, gash, distressingly woeful, whichever one you prefer. The ONLY mitigating circumstances I can give for our c**p attempt at playing football was that our whole first-choice midfield were out, barring a half-fit Fellaini. Our "attacking" play can not even be accurately described as "gutless". It was an utter crime against football. I'm really really sorry. Really, I am.
  12. If anyone sees a 19 year old lad with blonde hair shiftily watching the game at the Crows Nest, thatll be me.
  13. Villa are unbelievably average getting by on luck and late goals You win the(Booby)prize for the daftest comment of the year so far....unbelievable..! Really? I must have missed them consistently playing teams off the park. As far as I can see, their reputation they've supposedly built up this season has been based on a small handful games where their attacking talent has blended together. Average is a bit harsh, they're a good side, but true, they've got the rub of the green with a lot of things up to now: interesting to see how they bounce back after the past 7 days. Alan Green seems to agree with you going on this article. http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/columnists/alan-green/alan-green-no-thrill-in-villa-surge-14197749.html Well you see it's hard to argue against Villa this season without inducing a response based on a "so you don't want Villa to break the top 4?" It was always going to be the case that we'd see what they were made of when things stopped going their way as much. The next 3 or 4 games will give us a decent clue. Best of luck to them but hopefully people see past the hyperbole.
  14. Him and Michael Brown in the same midfield. I don't wish harm upon individuals, but.....

  16. Some of the TV licensing regulations are an utter joke, tbh.
  17. The Bernabeu is rocking, more so because of Barca's score than the staggering score of their own team.
  18. I think this is a classic example of having to score when you're on top. You are certainly going to have a spell or 2 where you will be on the front foot, whether it be through chances, general pressure, Jonas going on runs, tackling back, getting the crowd noise cranked up. I agree pace is the way forward, what other options do you have instead of Oba and Lov? I thought Carroll/Ameobi were injured? I also think, as hinted at with some of the comments, that Jonas will be key. It's time to see how he performs with mobile targets in front of him, i.e. whether he has the quality to split the defence, because it'll have to be pretty good to do so. Or, all of this analysis is utter dogs**t, and Ryan Taylor will score from 30 yards. And not a simple Hadouken, Kaiz?
  19. Jonas is good at holding onto the ball and in Martins and Lovenkrands we'll have a couple of mobile targets for him to aim at. What are the chances of Martins starting? I was under the impression he was bench-fit. We're theoretically there for the taking, I agree, but the more adverse the situation gets, the more resilient we get. And we're already pretty hard to break down in the first place. Just can't see where these 3-1 predictions are coming from. But it's a great chance for Newcastle, it's whether you can perform for 90 minutes.
  20. I think Martins and Lovenkrands will have you on the back foot if they both play, home win. If the midfield provides them with some service. Their pace imo is useless if they're not playing on the shoulder of the defenders, if they come deep for the ball then that will suit us just fine.
  21. As I've said, the Everton forums are full of illiterate mongs who can't construct a sentence nevermind an argument, but why shouldn't they/we be confident ahead of a game where a win would usually be expected, given the current situations of the 2 clubs?
  22. If you're taking that from Everton forums then it's not worth the webspace the comments are posted on. Our forums are full of utter mongs. As in, real, full-on mongs.
