  1. In the current situation, I wouldn't give a flying f**k what he thinks of himself, how he apparently acts. Jonas could be an utter t**t of the highest order in everyday life. The fact is by all accounts he had a decent game today. This doesn't suddenly mean he's amazing but imo warrants being used in future games more readily, so he can prove himself.
  2. Might need to get the metro, Kev. Where are you travelling from? I'm sure someone will have a spare blue top of some sort.
  3. All goals must be celebrated in Fifa 09 style, btw. I expect to see the robot dance, sambas, and that bizarre hands-on-face twirling about they do.
  4. Technically they should be, but I'd be interested to see how they cope once the UEFA Cup comes back in. They're not playing at their best but I'd argue they can't play consistently well. There's no doubt they're getting a lot of breaks. It'll be interesting to see how they respond to a few injuries, a few bits of bad luck etc. Carew has been out for ages, he's a very important player for us. We've played 10 UEFA cup matches already (and we largely play the reserves in those games). Getting a few breaks is fair enough, but we're not third because we've been lucky. Also our remaining fixtures are looking pretty good. Our next five games for example Sunderland (away) Portsmouth (away) Wigan (home) Blackburn (away) Chelsea (home) We know where we've got deficiencies in the squad, and we've got the money and a month to sort it. I think he'll fix it. I know you're not there through luck, I just think you've been getting a fair few breaks this season. That's not like you're the only team, when we finished 4th we got a few as well. I truly hope you rough up the top echelon of the league, I just have serious doubts that you can consistently play "at your best", nevermind playing "at your best" with the UEFA cup to occupy not a particularly large squad.

  6. Liverpool proving their title credentials yet again.
  7. Tongue-in-cheek. I don't think he's done too badly. Injuries, board situation, lack of funds etc. =
  8. Interesting point. We've scored more than a good few teams in and around us. What could the problem be then? http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/content/images/2004/12/16/ten_reasons_joe_should_go_body_200x233.jpg
  9. Man Utd have tried it before I think, Giggs and someone I forget, played up front occasionally last season I believe, or maybe season before that. There's no reason it can't work. Not saying it's sustainable but when you have someone like Cahill who's essentially a second striker, being constantly supported by Fellaini, Arteta and Osman/Pienaar, then it's perfectly viable for the time being.
  10. Mate are you in Newcastle or Darlo? Cos I'll deffo be getting the metro, getting on at Central. Newcastle. Me and The Prophet will getting on somewhere in the town, probably Haymarket. Is Central, the Station?
  11. I'm gonna be very pi**ed off if this ends 2-1; with Owen already scoring.
  12. Arteta brings Merson to climax with the 2nd. Something special apparently
  13. Barnsley Ipswich QPR Sheff Utd Leeds Everton Newcastle Burnley I realise the 2nd one is footballing suicide.
  14. Huge game for our lot today. We need the win - not only to push away from the chasing pack below us and keep in touch with Arsenal and Villa - but also because we have really hard fixtures coming up.
  15. For people getting the metro - is anyone planning to meet anywhere specifically? Or should we just all head straight to the game and just meet there? Either way is fine.
  16. Doubt Man City's foreign legion will be that fussed about not having to play in Portsmouth on a freezing January afternoon.
  17. Is evertons still on? Did I say ours was particularly good? It's just theirs is worse. And yeah, it is. At the moment.
  18. Wtf, 2 premier league games off. That's just pathetic. Utterly, utterly pathetic. No co-incidence it's the 2 most dire grounds in the league as well.
  19. This could be a massacre - depends how much Villa want to crank up the goal difference.
  20. Sums West Brom up. And also why they're going down.
  21. What's the nearest watering hole? I should be alright for that providing the metro goes on quite late
  22. Gonna pop into town in a bit so I'll let you know what I waste my money on
