  1. Another good night. Nice one Col!
  2. Unjustifiably or not, I've got this image of Milan, at home, being right up for it on big European nights. Atletico may well win, but I don't think they're especially good value (unlike PSG last night who were a similar price but great value). As I say, 15/8 Costa anytime is a bit crackers. Nearly 2/1 for a man who has 26 goals this season, to find the net. Without even considering Milan's at times pantomime defence, it's good value. Andy: you say 4/1 is too big and yeah it does sound big, but I'd say it's about right. Bayern have been beaten twice - once in a one-off Super Cup game vs Dortmund before the season started, and once at home to Man City in what was a dead rubber game for them. They've drawn twice - once at Freiburg, once at Leverkusen. They've won every single other game. That's frightening. Records are there to be broken, but I think 4/1 is fair.
  3. It's an insane price. That is, under the proviso they play a strong team. I really want to jump on 6/4 as I'm fairly sure you won't get that come kick off on Thursday but it's only such good value if they play most of Higuain, Callejon, Hamsik, Insigne and so on. The only other reason I'd personally be put off is for whatever reason, whenever I bet on Napoli/watch them wanting to be impressed, they're pretty flat. Yet I hear every other week about how they're playing so well. Bit of a daft attitude to take but I'm still a tad suspicious of them not being all that. As for tomorrow, Atletico/Bayern should win. However: a) Milan, for all their faults - and man, there are loads - don't lose at home much. Their humbling of Barca last year is still fresh in the memory too, let alone the fact they held them 1-1 again this year. Got a feeling they might sneak something, or something will go inexplicably wrong for Atletico. That being said, Costa is 15/8 with Betvictor to score anytime. Definitely a price worth taking. b) Bayern are pretty gash value if you ask me. I'd take the -1, if anything.
  4. Got Ash to thank for this good run I'm on. His St Helens pick from last Thursday properly got it all going, and it's gone from strength to strength since then. Approximately £500 up in 5 days. I must've followed the only bet that didn't come home. The Sanchez one? Genuinely the one bet I had that didn't come off. I honestly think posting your bets in here is a curse. Had: £30 on PSG over 1.5 team goals, paid £71 £25 on Messi and Ibra anytime, paid £110 £20 on PSG -1, paid £84 Stand by the Sanchez bet still being good value. Got it refunded anyway, not sure I've ever had a particularly significant win on this b365 in play offer, but it's too good an offer to refuse.
  5. Going on Sanchez in play anytime.
  6. GW27: Chelsea 1-0 Everton Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland Cardiff 2-1 Hull Man City 3-1 Stoke West Brom 1-2 Fulham West Ham 1-1 Southampton C Palace 1-2 Man Utd Liverpool 3-1 Swansea Newcastle 2-1 A Villa Norwich 1-2 Tottenham
  7. A brilliant 1/33. Terrible value but for once, the odds actually don't really matter for that bet.
  8. One word of caution - it says in the T&Cs that any attempt to 'guarantee a profit' might result in them not paying out. That's why I'm putting the 0-0 bet on with another firm. I haven't actually been denied a payout from doing this before but just in case do they catch on, thought I'd point that out.
  9. Fitness more than anything I think. Pienaar is probably seen as more 'reliable'. I think also too much is put into the whole Baines/Pienaar left wing relationship which, while it's been mint for us, hasn't been as prevalent under Martinez (mainly due to the development of Cafu on the other wing). I'd definitely give McGeady some more time, though. G-Def is fucking class IMO, really hope we can get him for next season, but again he's just working his way back from injury. He was starting to get some regular game time before he got injured. Pienaar reminds me of Cahill in terms of his position at the club. Used to be really good and incredibly useful for us, but increasingly can't do it. Still has some good games but not enough to suggest he'll be a big player for us anymore. Remember getting shot down by all and sundry on Everton forums for suggesting we should've got rid of Cahill a good couple of years before we actually did. He was a mint servant for us but his time was coming to an end and if we were to progress, we'd have to improve upon him. Pienaar, while a different player footballing-wise, is slowly going in that direction. Not gonna give up on him just yet and I expect him to contribute between now and the end of the season but he's just not on the same level he was previously.
  10. He is, and has been for 6-12 months. Sad to see but simply isn't good enough to regularly be very good at this level.
  11. You place a pre-match bet up to £50. Then place an in-play bet up to £50. If your in play bet loses, it's refunded. Currently there are no rules about your pre-match bet having to be over certain odds, so for me: £50 on over 0.5 match goals £3 lay on 0-0 @ 16/1 with Boylesports Then you have what is essentially a free £50 in-play bet, knowing that your original £50 is safe. If your in-play bet loses, oh well, you get it back. If it wins, jackpot.
  12. Oh I know he isn't. He's still painfully terrible. He does have an ounce of finishing ability, though. I'm genuinely unsure if Lukaku would have got onto Taylor's mistake yesterday and finished it, he hasn't looked sharp for a while.
  13. Think I'm begrudgingly going to have to admit Steven Naismith, in the penalty area, is actually not that disastrous. I maintain he's a terrible footballer but he's slightly more useful than I was willing to give him credit for. We were poor today I thought. Have no idea what combination of Class A drugs some of our players were on; Pienaar's lofted pass out of play for a Swansea corner was the pinnacle of fuckwittery. Don't expect us to get through but think we've got a better chance against Arsenal though than Liverpool, purely because of how consistently shit we are against the latter. Arsenal could turn up and rip us a new one on their day but I think we've got more than enough to trouble them and hopefully at least get a replay, and if Arsenal are having an off day there's no reason we can't capitalise and win. That would however involve playing well, something we've rarely done in the past month or 2.
  14. This sums up the majority of Argie games I've watched in the past year or 2. And in many ways, this does too.
  15. Classic. Sevilla down to 10. Ref has delivered a vintage "must make it up" performance these last 20 minutes. Sevilla should've had at least one more penalty but the ref's basically refusing to give anything else. Ah well, not to worry. On to South America again. Gone for a BTTS double in the Boca and Medellin games.
  16. Been a very good weekend's betting, about £300 up. Small in-play bet on Sevilla to score.
  17. Man, you can get some silly in-play odds on South American football. Just by seeing how the games went and combining it with form, made over £200 profit in the early hours of the morning just from bets such as scoring a goal before 80:00, scoring the next goal, etc. Often odds against which they just shouldn't have been. This thread is cursed though, I'm sure of it. With that in mind: over 1.5 team goals for Hoffenheim and Hapoel Tel Aviv @ 21/10.
  18. Just stuck £110* on BTTS in a Chilean game and it went from 0-0 to 1-1 in 2 minutes. Mint. Winnings from earlier tonight, admittedly. Didn't just think, aye, yknow what I need? A £110 BTTS bet.
