  1. Real can really play some dour, turgid football. Barely stringing 2 passes together here against Elche.
  2. I'm a big fan, however, of Bodo Illgner's voice, who is commentating on this Real Madrid game currently.
  3. Real over 1.5 goals @ 13/8 in play. Right on cue. Nice.
  4. Everything on Tahiti. Who was it who bet against Tahiti a couple of years ago and they won 8-0 or something?
  5. North London White. Not Spurs, just a very racist club which just been set up.
  6. Withdrawn a decent wedge before I make a very regrettable bet. Think I'm about £250 up from the past 3/4 days. Could have been much, much bigger if Napoli had played in anything above second gear tonight, but ah well. Them's the breaks. Keeping an eye out on Real Madrid, anyway. 0-0 HT.
  7. Oh well. First real loss of the week. Take it on the chin and move on. Annoying thing is both teams will revert to type in their next games. Also sort of proved why Napoli aren't going to win the title. Drop a few players and they don't look anywhere near as good.
  8. Sassuolo are playing like the CPU on FIFA at times. Seem to be winning every header regardless of height difference, and every 50/50 dropping to them. Fully deserve to be at least level. Napoli look lost and this isn't doing much for my belief that Hamsik is very overrated. Inler is having a stinker too. Armero is one of the worst "left backs" I've seen for a long, long time. This always happens with Napoli. Whenever I don't watch them I'm told they play brilliant football. Whenever I do, they look completely disjointed.
  9. Hamsik miskicks it 10 yards out. Sigh.
  10. They haven't put the ball in the back of net yet, Stuart. Hamsik just wide. Just before, Sassuolo should have been ahead. Shambolic defending from Napoli.
  11. Higuain chip goes just wide, Hamsik gets blocked at the last chance. Don't be one of those nights.
  12. Hamsik and Higuain both start. It's an absolute certain bet. Not certain in terms of them definitely scoring (and winning) as anything can happen, but certain in terms of 2/1 and 7/2 being utterly ridiculous prices. Bwin must have a bunch of clowns setting odds. No regrets if neither come through btw. Would take these odds 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  13. San Paolo expected to be pretty much near full (60,000) tonight, also expected to be about 50 Sassuolo fans. Ticket prices down to a tenner, it seems.
  14. Yup. One of my very favourites in Premier League history. Just great to watch. Shame hes a tosser. Not in my experience. Had a 20ish minute phone conversation with him in my last job. Quite a pleasant chap from what I remember.

I can answer that straight away: yes. Newcastle 1-2 Tottenham, Carling Cup 2008. What a treat. Think it was 2-1 anyway. Seem to remember the heroic Michael Owen scoring.
  17. He wasn't wrong, Ramsey was awful last season. Don't think anyone expected him to suddenly look like one of the best midfielders in the league. Ben Arfa was awful when he came back from injury and couldn't find form, too. You don't write your own players off when they've proven to be very effective pre-injury. Not often i agree with Ronaldo but he's spot on here. Ron gets this a lot, i tend to see a lot agreeing with him though He's got a bit of 'Dave' in him where he will post a word or two, possibly a short sentence at best to a discussion but then think that is good enough for his argument because he is right, they rarely get drawn in to explaining themselves and expressing their actual opinion It's called economy of expression. No, it's called Ronan motherfucker Keating. That son bitch knew what he was on about.

  19. Someone's gonna have to put me off this Napoli bet. bwin have taken leave of their senses with these odds. Just a matter of a) whether they hang around and b) Higuain (and ideally Hamsik) start.
  20. I should have gone with my gut and put a decent wedge on Spurs -1 as well. Would've been a fair old price.
