Dyer throwing a hissy fit, but probably justified. Let him get his hatrick.
-
There's no way he can't send him off. That was a brilliant move.

According to interviews he's the most relaxed manager most players have had. Rodgers used to fine players for all sorts of things, late for team dinner, late for training, not wearing team clothes etc. Laudrup doesn't have a fine system full stop. After Liverpool last week, apparently it was the first time any of the players heard him raise his voice. Who he is, IMO, has a lot to do with it. Not only is he one of the very best players of the past 20-30 years (for me, anyway), he also comes across as a likeable, down-to-earth person. That combination surely gets the respect of the players and thus his instructions are well received. Compare that to Rodgers who is proving himself to be more and more deluded in his own thinking as each week and month goes by and you can see the difference. Oh, and he certainly ain't Michael Laudrup.

Then Cagliari score. Unlucky Torino.

Said on a number of occasions when watching you that I think he's grossly overrated, but he was very good today I thought. A big factor behind your win.
-
Not exactly, but well done regardless. Surely Swansea aren't going to fuck up my double.
-
Think they're very likely to stay up. They don't look like a bottom 3 side at all IMO.
-
For a second I thought you just couldn't spell your goalkeeper's name.
-
Forgive me as I can imagine this is very tense for yourselves, but this is a class game.

Thoroughly enjoyable half for the (sort of) neutral. Fully deserved lead, thought you responded excellently all in all. Gradually got on top more and more as the half went on and the goals felt inevitable. Just hope you don't sit back. I reckon Southampton might get a rocket at HT as they've gone off the boil from what was a very impressive start; but a big part of that is because you're pressing them consistently. Keep it up and you'll win. Don't, and you won't.

Fully deserved equaliser. Now the challenge is not to be happy with that because there are more goals to be had here.
-
Sounds stupid but aside from the goal, I think you've played fairly well. Can definitely see you scoring a couple here.
-
Just because a foul isn't malicious, or is their first of the game, doesn't mean it's not a yellow.
-
Good game this, and a good recovery from the early shock.
-
Can definitely see both teams scoring here. Hard-fought 2-1 win for you.
-
Time to curse you lot. Newcastle DNB, Swansea double.
-
Fellaini does get an awful lot of praise which is good going for a man who can't pass a ball.

My memory of Bramble is him attempting to pass it back to the keeper while at Wigan, completely scuffing it (falling over in the process) and allowing us to score. There seem to be quite a few memories.

Yup. Even I can admit for a period of 2-3 years he was one of the best in the world. But the longer-term view of him is no doubt influenced by the 'Captain Stevie G' mentality peddled by various media outlets. Oh, and for a captain and shining example of a footballer and so on, he's a massive fucking cheat. As I say, I think Lampard is underrated. Underrated because I've noticed a surprising amount of people don't seem to rate him above Gerrard when he's clearly been better long-term, in my view anyway. His consistency is remarkable. Even this season when Chelsea aren't at the heights they were 3-4 years ago and with his own future in doubt and indeed not even starting quite a few games, he's delivering the goods time and time again.
-
He's right in what he said - the match should have been over before the goal went in. It's not however the sort of thing you say in public; obviously down to frustration at how shit we are at defending. Very rarely says stuff like that in interviews which gives you an indication of how things are going currently.

Underrated if anything. He's been a sensational player.
