  1. Chelsea are a club in turmoil. TURMOIL! This would be 1 win in 7, absolute disaster, chaos, crisis.
  2. Win for positive thinking. Game has changed since Lambert came on. Why on earth he was on the bench is beyond me. Scored the first goal and is generally occupying the defenders a lot more. First half Southampton were very poor and frankly negative (Chelsea weren't good by any means) but fair play to Adkins for the 2nd half, gone for it more and they've taken advantage of Chelsea's mediocrity.
  3. They've had Bundesliga highlights from the start of this season I think. Seen a few adverts for it. Mondays 10pm?
  4. Fuming? 1/10 man. That's such bad value, it's negative value.
  5. Bizarre, isn't it. Put your biggest goal threat on and he scores. Makes up for Cole losing his clean sheet.
  6. Shocking, ey. You put Lambert on and he scores. Not a clue what Adkins was playing at not starting him. That said, Southampton showed zero attacking ability in the first half.
  7. 1/10 for over 1.5 goals Dinho. Seriously man.
  8. A common trait between the 2 games with Chelsea and Man Utd tonight is a depressing lack of ambition, especially from Chelsea. It's like both teams - who have far more quality than the teams they're facing - are just content doing what's necessary, with little effort to really attack and go for the juggler (sorry Neesy) and entertain. Pretty shite, if you ask me.
  9. I remember when Nani used to be dangerous.
  10. Literally the 2 minutes since I posted that, they've made Boruc make a great save, hit the post, and now it's 2-0.
  11. For a side with such obscene levels of quality in their team, Chelsea are utterly soulless and insipid. Yet they're comfortable at 1-0 - says everything about Southampton's current level of ambition. Don't look at all like the side they're made out to be (i.e. the "they've got goals in them" side).
  12. There's really no wonder there's a media perception that any good players will be swept up by the "big" clubs. Tony Gale within minutes of the start of the game "If Chelsea are looking for a new left back, they may need to look no further than Luke Shaw. He already looks like a young Gareth Bale, what a prospect he is and I bet Chelsea will be looking to the future."

Yeah that fucks me off a lot on matchdays. Same for clubs that take an absolute age to put their team news out. 1920 - team news headlines on the Man Utd game Still haven't actually printed the teams.

Worth mentioning again what is a generally small irritation but annoys me more than it should - the BBC football feed not just putting the line-ups on until only 20-25 mins before the match, instead opting for stuff like "3 changes for Chelsea tonight" or "the team is unchanged". Just put the fucking teams up instead of waffling on.
  16. Yeah that's it Southampton, don't play Lambert. Why the hell wouldn't they play their biggest goal threat? Hope they get tonked.
  17. Delighted he hasn't gone to Chelsea.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Nah I intend on being disproportionately offended. Wouldn't get in our team anyway. Doesn't work as hard as Naismith.

"In Newcastle they really like French players. They still speak a lot about Laurent Robert. I really love Newcastle. It's the only club that's given me this responsibility, this love. I feel really loved by the fans. There's everything you need to be happy in England, even at say QPR or Everton. But I'm ambitious and I want to win trophies. I won trophies at lyon and marseille. That's why I said if there's no ambition then I'll leave. There was contact with Chelsea and Arsenal last summer but it didn't happen because I wanted to stay at newcastle. Today those clubs are better than us. But if we sign players we can catch up with them." :'( :'(

    Oh, it's been posted.
  21. Southampton in it too of course, Sunderland could get sucked in, think one team will drop from mid table too, like West Ham, West Brom or Norwich. There's a lot of crap down there no excuse for us really being in amongst it. Yeah, think there'll be a "mid-table"-ish team which gets sucked in and for me, that team currently looks like being Norwich. Great first 13, 14 games but they've hit a wall recently and are in danger of getting dragged into things IMO. Not in serious danger currently but if they don't get a win or 2 soon they'll be very nervously looking over their shoulder.
