Everton -1 for tomorrow.
-
You would think we'd just signed a load of French players or something. And we're signing a Dutch player and getting some flat pack furniture from Ikea for the reception area - you don't see me putting money on us.
-
Not just you to win but a load of bets on, in some form, you winning by 2 goals or more.
-
Interesting optimism in this thread.

I'm not sure what's riskier. The way I've gone - having a variety of relatively decent players from all sorts of clubs (no Man City or Man Utd players, only Cole from Chelsea), or just spending big on 3 or 4 big hitters and making up the rest with shite. Pretty pleased with generally how my team is, it's just that nagging feeling of "who's the star player?" especially when Suarez is, as he is this GW, in a hard fixture where points for him are more a bonus than a sure-fire expectation. Defoe, the wanker, was in great form before I picked him, don't think he's scored for me yet. Don't want to get rid yet though. Fellaini hasn't been in great form recently, but the morons who do the bonus points tend to think "oh, it's Fellaini, give him some bonus points." Currently: Begovic; Gibbs, Cole, Davies, Cameron; Lennon, Walters, Fellaini, Walcott; Suarez, Defoe Subs: Guzan, Snodgrass, Lambert, Harte. Definitely looking at bringing in an NUFC player soon as there's no doubt in my mind you'll pick up, and I'd like to capitalise on that. Guess we'll see how the new signings get going. Ben Arfa is a fairly obvious shout once he's fit.

So while you're thinking you might win 1-0, a small part of you is thinking "yeah, 6-0 win is on the cards"?
-
Every 2-3 months Moyes is apparently going to Chelsea or Man Utd. A pinch of salt isn't sufficient for those stories. Anyway, it's the rule that teams outside the top 4 cannot have good players.
-
Someone must go to this man's home and ensure his personal safety. This match is not a decider, but a loser is clearly in trouble. Blimey.

3-7. It's not the 7, it's the fact you've thought, "no, it won't be 7-0 because that's silly, they'll at least get 3 goals."

Here's Steve with the weather.

Will be playing football for the first time in nearly 8 weeks on Wednesday, after having a problem with my knee since early December. Training is ON. Hopefully my knee doesn't fall OFF. Only issue is the weekly games I play are nearly always 5 or 7 a side. 11 a side is going to be very interesting come 9th March, and by very interesting, I mean I'll be knackered after 30 minutes.

Is it possible to press A and unnerve the Blues?

Dave answering a question in this thread on his birthday. Commitment.

Apparently he has a horse called Django. I like him.

And yes, I did think of this:

Wow, hope it works out for you. He's not dissimilar to Sissoko really, in that he is a physically imposing central midfielder who is more suited to a more attacking role than as a midfield destroyer. How do you plan to use him? When everyone is fit I'd imagine we'd play a midfield 3 of Gibson holding, Fer going box to box and Fellaini playing furthest forward (unless Fellaini is going, in which case you'd have Osman in there) I was shocked City came in for Rodwell and not Fellaini. All the fans had pretty much given up on Rodwell and were happy to see the back of him when City came calling. Fellaini's release clause was confirmed as being more than £24m btw. Think he will go in the summer but hopeful he will stay put during this window. Any idea how much more? Same he has one at all, all 4 clubs I mentioned should be involved in a bidding war in the summer for him (but still surprised no one took the opportunity to nab him now) Various reports on the exact figure, but the only well documented thing is that it's more than £24m. I think most Everton fans will tell you that they won't be surprised if he goes in the summer if we don't finish in the top 4. He won't leave before Thursday though, of that I'm 99.9% sure. Never expected to spend £8m on a player this window but from what I've seen of him - not that it's much to go off - it could be a great move. I mean, it'll be a great move just by having Neville not play in midfield anymore.
-
It's also a way of implying that he played a much weakened side (in which case whose fault was that, Brendan?) so that the defeat isn't seen as such a damaging blow. The reality is Liverpool played a very strong strong team and Oldham stuck 3 past them. Blaming young players is a really desperate measure in my book, because countless older players played shite. Similarly to Redknapp, it's completing deflecting blame - at least publicly - away from the manager. Because of course, a manager has absolutely nothing to do with their side getting beat by a team 2 divisions below them.
-
Heh, he was subbed off 3 days ago? In the League maybe? Ah, think it must have been he hasn't been substituted - injury aside - for 4 years, before the last game. ....I think? Maybe they were just lying.
-
Is that stat true? When starting, Messi has never been substituted for 4 years? Seriously, man.
-
Dunno who you're referring to in particular but Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool all fielded very strong teams.
-
Messi hattrick.
-
What a lovely day of football.
-
Spurs doing a Spain.

Get the fuck in!

Oscar is going to be one of the best players in the world in 2-3 years.
