Btw, as an aside, what was Cabaye playing with on that tackle on Spearing? Very poor challenge. Not sure how he didn't get at the very least booked, could easily have been a red.
-
You say Tiote, but I lost count of the amount of times he lost possession tonight with fairly short passes. If you're relying on him to be creating something then there's something wrong. Cabaye has some quality about him, certainly, but it's not exactly been abundant from the games I've seen. I guess that can partially be explained from having to work with utter crap like Obertan. Indeed did Jonas actually do anything of note at all tonight?
-
Btw I couldn't really hear the commentary in the pub, why were they making a big deal of the 1st goal? Were they trying to find a reason it shouldn't have counted?
-
Watched the game in town and I have to say, that's not the first time Tiote and Cabaye have failed to impress. I'm not saying I expected them to dominate the game but there have been several times this season when I think, "wow, what's the fuss about them?" Is that a fair comment to make or needlessly harsh? I'm waiting to see Cabaye's supposed quality but from what I've seen, it's in limited bursts. And Tiote's passing was - certainly far from the first time this season from what I can remember - fucking woeful. Also, Obertan produced one of the all-round worst performances I've ever seen in the Premier League.

 It's rather artistic, don't you think? The way he's turned your main strength currently (Ba) into a massive negative.
-
I like the way that, because it's Liverpool, it's "outstanding goalkeeping performances" and seemingly bad luck which are the reasons they haven't been winning at home. Not, you know, shit finishing.

stuff about us relating to the game In fairness he does also discredit our last win and remind everyone of our poor run of form before that. Exactly. And you lot think he doesn't give you any attention.

Dream Team.

Oh, Freddy. It could have been so good.

Can't argue with that, really. I guess it's all relative; we could pick a fair few faults with most of these players but in terms of the best in those positions (which as you say, are rigidly defined), I think he deserves to be up there. If he can improve his defensive side in the next couple of years, Tottenham have a class player on their hands.
-
He came under consideration but I just felt his barnstorming runs forward didn't quite match up against Richards, for example.

In no realm does Gerrard deserve to be ahead of Lampard. Gerrard has been on the slide down for a good couple of years and while Lampard isn't at the heights he once was, he still does the business on a regular basis. I actually think he's been underrated over the years; it's become fashionable to slag him off for some reason. An outstanding player season after season after season.

Something suspicious about this. You got back on track with a good win at Bolton, Suarez is out, Liverpool have a mediocre home record... It's going to be a comfortable Liverpool win isn't it? Truly hope you stuff them like, with Ba, Tiote and both Ameobis doing a dance in front of Dalglish after Krul has headed in the 4th.

"expect a 3-2 win" Fair enough, I guess logic points towards a Swansea win/draw, so a QPR win is therefore likely in a gambling sense.
-
Any reason for backing QPR?

He's a god awful referee. Just no consistency in any of his decisions. Could say that about an awful lot of refs. Been a fucking woeful lack of consistency with so many decisions this season.

Djourou's so shit.

Milijas off.

He's only a hatrick a la West Ham away from screwing me over.

Damn right. And get that Leon Best statistic updated.
