  1. On a rampage at the moment yee like. Think I'll start PMing you after every Everton defeat. What can I say, I saw the game tonight and hence am giving my opinions in the relevant threads. P.S. Have you seen our performances this season?
  2. Your best player tonight, which is a tad worrying when you conceded 3 goals. Extra marks for his random forays up the pitch.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Really? Personally I saw him do absolutely nothing of note whatsoever.

Equally, Fulham are a couple of departures from sinking down the table. Hangleand and Dempsey out and they'd struggle IMO.
  5. You were having the best phase of the game as in how we have " good spells". As in, sideways possession going nowhere and the opposition keeper having fuck all to do.
  6. Impressive stuff for the 2nd goal. He managed to get in the way yet not get in the way at the same time. Magic.

    Other clubs' transfers

"gazump" Also, Liverpool attempting to pay over the odds for an overrated English player? Well I never.
  8. Fair enough if it was a clean challenge, just seemed extremely clumsy from what I can remember.
  9. True, but they're perfectly believable for Balotelli.
  10. The lesser of two evils with Cabaye. As for the free kick for the 2nd goal, I may have to see it again but it looked clumsy as fuck from Tiote. Stuck his leg out and blocked the player IIRC.
  11. 2-1 to Newcastle. Rooney to score in the 8th minute, and Man Utd decide to get cocky. Suddenly, Gabriel Obertan defiantly gets himself sent off by headbutting Rooney; a move which takes Rooney out of the game. In a dramatic 2nd half, after Henning Berg has got sent off a late lunge on Les Ferdinand, Obertan picks up the ball (defying the ref's sending off), skins Evra, nutmegs Steve Irwin and picks out Demba Ba in the middle who fires past Van Der Gouw in sensational fashion. Then, after Beardsley has come inside, he picks out Sammy Ameobi only for Ameobi Jr to fall over....... but wait, there's Alan Smith, latching onto the inadvertent through ball and squaring to Peter Lovenkrands who tucks it away, for a famous, famous victory.
  12. Got the same message. Hilton have apparently informed whoever that it's not true. Sadly.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

That doesn't mean he's played well. I wouldn't look at him as a scapegoat at all, no , but when I'm told he's one of your best players I'm failing to see it[/lolyesthatgoalhahaha]
  14. I've seen a fair few games of yours now this season and I've thought, well, best give Obertan a chance. Time to settle. What a tragic excuse for a footballer.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

honestly cant remember him receiving a pass or anyone looking to play a pass after he came on. He did receive a pass a few times and promptly lost the ball attempting to get past people when he had no chance of doing so.

This guy has quality about him, but it has to be said he did absolutely nothing when he came on tonight.

    Alan Pardew

Name one thing Ben Arfa did tonight.

    Alan Pardew

He's an average manager who overachieved at the start of the season. Now when things aren't going well, he's being found out.
  19. Honestly cannot remember a single positive thing he did.
  20. Not good at all. Not that he should be judged on this game nor should have started. He'll improve in time, but not sure what Pardew saw in him to think, yes, best start him tonight.
  21. Btw, as an aside, what was Cabaye playing with on that tackle on Spearing? Very poor challenge. Not sure how he didn't get at the very least booked, could easily have been a red.
  22. You say Tiote, but I lost count of the amount of times he lost possession tonight with fairly short passes. If you're relying on him to be creating something then there's something wrong. Cabaye has some quality about him, certainly, but it's not exactly been abundant from the games I've seen. I guess that can partially be explained from having to work with utter crap like Obertan. Indeed did Jonas actually do anything of note at all tonight?
  23. Btw I couldn't really hear the commentary in the pub, why were they making a big deal of the 1st goal? Were they trying to find a reason it shouldn't have counted?
  24. Watched the game in town and I have to say, that's not the first time Tiote and Cabaye have failed to impress. I'm not saying I expected them to dominate the game but there have been several times this season when I think, "wow, what's the fuss about them?" Is that a fair comment to make or needlessly harsh? I'm waiting to see Cabaye's supposed quality but from what I've seen, it's in limited bursts. And Tiote's passing was - certainly far from the first time this season from what I can remember - fucking woeful. Also, Obertan produced one of the all-round worst performances I've ever seen in the Premier League.
