At least we know Steven Taylor is happier I know he was going to be injured, but that doesn't mean players won't have been affected. Pardew will do well to get the players right up for this one. Should be a good game actually; our performances there haven't been too bad on the whole in recent years. Last year was annoying - easily the better side but 2 deflected goals gave them a share of the spoils. In the heat of the moment i.e. now, it's unsurprising some people have instinctively gone for the Club's hierarchy, on the back of supposed past crimes, as the villains here and it may well transpire that they have played a decisive role in events. To me however, the overriding feeling would be one of betrayal and the main source of anger would be towards Carroll and his act of treachery.
