  1. Forgive me for having a lack of personal emotional connection to this but from the outside, surely this is Carroll's work? He's requested he wanted to leave, man. The tales of Ashley and co are pretty devastating but I can't fathom how on this occasion they are the main culprits.

  3. I don't exactly rate Cameron Jerome as a great striker but hell, the service he gets is fucking woeful.
  4. Top post from Bluf there. I think there is an instinct from most that whenever they hear comments along these lines, that they are in some sort of way morally superior. Most then realise that the comments weren't actually that bad, but by that time, the high horse brigade have shouted their gobs off, hysteria follows, more and more people have their say and the real issue here - the way Sky has operated in this situation - gets conveniently overlooked.
  5. Really? Wolfsburg, Rubin, Brum and...? Edit: oh right, aye.

    Sunderland...

Of course, man. I have many tapes of them back at my old home. I've only seen bits and pieces, but I did my best to follow the plot until I was about 15 or 16. I even remember Monday Bandele. Class show. Sunderland have a very real opportunity for Europe this season, and they made some good acquisitions toward that goal. However, the Bent situation has exposed the reality of things. They are still a small-time club, with a small boy mentality. I do not see them progressing. However, they do seem a stable Premiership club, which is frankly more than their supporters should expect. Bit far there like. but aye, fond memories. If in doubt, whack in an explosion or a murder. Good stuff. As for the topic at hand, I still can't get over how open the table is. A couple of wins can shoot you up from just above the relegation zone to near enough a European spot, and vice versa for losses. Could realistically see a last day where all manner of possibilities are.... well, possible.
  7. Yes ok Luka Modric has no end product. Bale also only has 1 assist this season so he also has no end product. Funny that we have a team that have "no end product" yet still produce results and good football. Bale's scored plenty though. Let's face it, you're like Liverpool a couple of years ago when they almost won the title. A two-man team. Without Bale & van der Vaart you'd be with us and the rest of the mid-table also-rans this season. and without Carroll and Tiote you'd be in the relegation zone. Without Berba and Nani United would be 4th. Without Arteta and Saha, we'd be higher. I don't know why I said that, I felt the need to confuse things.

Or in other words, Greg vs. Village Idiot.
  9. Yeah that's the reason why we should be investing so we ensure we keep it that way. I agree with that, but it doesn't seem Ashley quite recognises that basic train of thought. You're doing well = keep money in back pocket. Still, there's some time left - let's see what happens. Don't forget a few million was stuck out on Ben Arfa.
  10. Aye. I see Holloway hasn't gone. Bullshit fine. But glad Holloway hasn't gone I know it's bullshit, but I find it quite amusing how strong he was in his threat.
  11. Aye. I see Holloway hasn't gone.
  12. Holloway is in fact Technoviking.
  13. Bucketloads of experience, still better than Corluka or Hutton, the best this season at keeping Bale quiet, could be good for us for 18 months. On the forums the vast majority seem keen on the idea as well.. Having seen Hutton's positional play this season, that isn't really surprising. He kept Bale quiet, you know?
  14. Alright David. I wouldn't let my Leon go, though.
  15. As much as I berate his lack of footballing skill, he's actually quite important to us - there is no coincidence that we have a significantly better record with Neville in the team. The least I'd want would be £2-3m and a player on loan.
  16. Let's not forget the unreliable defender to the other side of him.
  17. I think it will be Kos-Djourou (who have been good and are not getting the credit they deserve) Vermaelen may be back in time for the second leg (according to Mr. Wenger's updates) but i doubt it, if Vermaelen and Van Persie are fit i'd give us a much better chance of progressing, in an ideal world our team would be Szczesny Sagna - Djourou - Vermaelen - Clichy Wilshere - Song Walcott - Fabregas - Nasri Van Persie That would be a dream. I'm sorry mate but I simply can't see any way, barring a Barcelona injury crisis, that you're going to get past them. There's no shame in it but they're simply better than you in all departments.

    Sunderland...

I can almost smell the fear. it's probably lingering from the last half an hour the other week at the new roker.

  20. your being just like gray and keyes but on a forum ,have a word with yourself This isn't his workplace though. No but its fuckin sexist isnt it so are you cononing that attitude I can spot a joke. Jokes are funny. I sense that's a challenge. Richard Keys walked into a bar and had some pints and banter with his mates because he's one of the lads.

    Sunderland...

Doesn't that technically make him the best player in the world?
