    Sunderland...

If ever a game had "draw" plastered all over it, this is it.
  2. As Mark said, I was aware of them being in a bit of a decline but they're in real danger of getting relegated. For someone who's more clued up on the Dutch league - what's going on? I still regard them as a 'big' European name.
  3. Ancelotti must be pissing himself laughing. Man Utd dropping away points willy-nilly and their only 2 other realistic challengers meet later.
  4. We should abuse this lot next week.
  5. Well done on the win yesterday, fully deserved. West Ham came out flying and once they scored, it was though Avram decided "right lads, that's us done." :lol But after that, you were definitely the better side, Tiote was particularly good IMO. Barton also played well I thought - superb ball for the winner, not quite sure what the West Ham defender was doing like. In fact, not quite sure what West Ham were doing for most of the game - the fact you didn't have to play well to be better than them will be what worried Mr Grant the most.

    Kevin Nolan

I thought he was decent enough yesterday; hardly outstanding but decent. He was involved more than when I've seen him this year, his goal was a true *cringe* Nolan goal.
  7. If it was possible to give negative percentages, that is the chance I'd give Sunderland of getting into Europe.
  8. Villa can count themselves extremely unlucky if they don't get something from this.
  9. If it wasn't a penalty, why wasn't Downing booked?
  10. SoL doesn't sound that loud. Bit of a 'scalp' for them as well.
  11. Villa pressurising. Possible handball from Bramble in the box but would have been harsh IMO.
  12. Sorry Messi, this is my fault. I see Burnley with a great home record, bet on them, and they're now losing 2-0.
  13. I think West Brom will stay up. They seem to be making the Hawthorns a much tougher place to go. Too often in their recent PL seasons could an opposition team justifiably think they'll have a relatively comfortable afternoon.
  14. Sunderland strike me as a rather fortunate team. I'd laugh so much if Bent got knacked.
  15. The lizard-fish hybrid saying Villa should have had a penalty.
  16. A simple £2 on Sunderland-Villa draw Bolton DNB Swansea DNB Burnley Norwich
  17. Chris Whyatt reports: "Rarely - no, never - a dull moment with Harry Redknapp's ambitious Spurs. But that looks like two points lost. 'Digging deep' is Everton's middle name." It's been that tone from the BBC today. Brazil 1970 vs defensive bulldogs. Get with the times. Edit: and again - Tottenham failed to beat battling Everton despite producing some vibrant attacking football at White Hart Lane. The visitors took a 17th-minute lead against the run of play thanks to Leighton Baines's brilliant free-kick. But Spurs levelled three minutes later as Everton keeper Tim Howard flapped at a cross which Peter Crouch bundled back for Rafael Van der Vaart to crash home. The hosts went for a winner, but were unable to break Everton down in a second half which ended in frustration. ----------------- Pretty standard stuff I guess - media look for a rhetoric and will hammer it regardless of whether its accurate. Spurs edged it today, I can't deny that, but it was miles from a siege and I didn't see that much "vibrant, attacking football" apart from the odd move - I saw a lot more hoofing to Crouch.
