    Sunderland...

They're going into the derby game at yours for the first time in a while as, what they consider to be, favourites, and a clearly better team. Personally, I think they're getting ahead of themselves - their 2 wins have been a debatable last minute penalty scuffed in by Bent, and an own goal (in a game they were by some distance 2nd best). I think they're just putting on a face of confidence just for the hell of it. Are Sunderland really a clearly better team? Man for man, I really don't see where they are clearly better. I'm not sure how many of their squad I would take to be honest. Their team for their last match was: Sunderland 22 Mignolet 02 Bardsley 04 Turner 15 Onuoha 19 Bramble 06 Cattermole 08 Malbranque 10 Henderson 27 Al-Muhammadi 11 Bent 17 Welbeck (Gyan 65) Substitutes 01 Gordon, 05 John Mensah, 14 Da Silva, 29 Ferdinand, 07 Zenden, 16 Riveros, 33 Gyan Nope. It's just what they think. I'd say Elmohamady, from how he's started this season, would get on your right wing. Mignolet has been decent from what I've seen, I don't know whether he's better than Krul or not. Onouha Colo Williamson (Bramble?) Enrique Jonas Tiote Henderson Elmohamady Bent Carroll ?

  4. You only pick up injuries in the Cup, Jonny, remember?
  5. From the outside, there seems to be much more of a team spirit within the camp. That not only has to help the team, but also helps to lift the spirit of the fans - seeing that their team is actually a team.
  6. I know it's hard to truly say personally, but I would, if I were in your position. It wouldn't mean I was thrilled by it but survival is survival. I think realistically you could finish anywhere as high as 11th, so yes while there's nowt wrong with aiming high, survival of any sort is the key, surely?
  7. Can I assume it's a case, tries hard but truly not cut out at this level? In which case, where does the blame lie? Hughton for thinking he would be able to cut it? There was quite an amusing moment at Man City where your 3 other defenders were all in a line, dropping back, and Perch was bumbling about at the top of the screen, not looking like he knew which way to go.

CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT BENT CUNT ...no?
  9. That was the worst Pele tribute ever.
  10. Didn't Barca have something insane like 76% the other week?
  11. Around and around and around and around and around... yes! It's on my left... shit, lost it.
  12. Anyone else think Bendtner scuffed that completely?
  13. "You're sort of a one man team, you're sort of a one man team!"
  14. Fabregas, for fuck's sake. Shut up you twat, it's clearly a red card. No need shouting at the ref waving an imaginary card.
  15. Stoke 1-2 Man Utd before Man City 0-3 Arsenal?
  16. Checkmate All right, finishing in the top 5 for three consecutive seasons makes us shite. Given's proven, that's the point. He's done it at all levels. Hart's done nothing to deserve all this praise. Given's done enough to earn his reputation and has done nothing to deserve being called 'done'. Yes he has - arguably the best goalkeeper in the Premiership and looks like being a clear England No.1 for many years to come. Why shouldn't he be praised? One decent season with Birmingham makes him arguably the best gk in the Premiership? Clear England No.1 having only played 7 games for the team? Come on, man. He's as hyped up as Foster and Carson were before they crumbled. Similar profile as well: decent season for a mid-table team, lots of praise, starts for England... Hart's better than both of them, but he hasn't done enough to earn this 'best in the Premiership' title that you've so easily given to him. That'll be why I said he looks like being the England No.1 for many years, and is arguably the best goalie in the league, hence clearly implying there are other keepers of a similar level, or indeed slightly higher in some minds.
  17. Let's just all agree Howard > everyone.

  19. I would agree with what Colocho is saying. I've found we've often played our best football away from Goodison. The onus is initially on the home team to attack and you tend to have more space when you get the ball, as opposed to at home when the opposition will often just look to make it hard for you, close down space etc.
