  1. and if we would have been relegated in '94 or '98 then it would have been the same kind of reaction from other fans. Like I'm sure was the case when Man United went down in the 70's and Villa went down in the 80's. Don't think many people would be interested if Everton went down tbh. Last relegation was 1951, Billy. Cumulatively we've had 107 top flight seasons, more than anyone else.
  2. Disagree. He's held a relatively solid goalscoring record throughout his career, he isn't absolutely prolific but he's always struck me as a smart player who can absolutely still cut it at the top level, and particularly if he's a regular starter. Him and Carroll would have potential IMO (albeit you lot would have better idea) with the way Keane can drop off and link the midfield. KD would have a good insight, I know he wasn't happy with him in his 2nd stint?
  3. I've seen a few people say Robbie Keane would be a bad signing. I assume that's purely because of the potential price/wages?
  4. Out of interest, why would Roberts be a pointless signing?
  5. So is it ranked via co-efficients? Come on, you can't go banding about these wild ideas without the stats.
  6. It's highly regarded, I've heard.
  7. They haven't really requested this, have they? Please tell me they haven't.
  8. I heard the forum ceases to exist.
  9. Nice one. Hope Rosenborg score for all concerned.
  10. Yep, CG. It's good to see him doing so well but for Sunderland, it's not particularly healthy to have such a high proportion of their goals coming from one man. But they won't care, they're 10th. Although 'top of a generally mediocre/shite group of teams' seems more accurate.
  11. I thought you'd won £80? Or is this another one?
  12. I enjoy watching Lampard more than Gerrard. Even in his pomp, the latter always struck me as never having truly great ball control and distribution; it was his towering surges that metaphorically and literally pushed Liverpool forward, dragging them out of the shitter. Lampard is more composed. He reminds me of Xavi in that he's such an intelligent player and knows exactly when to pick a pass instantly, or keep possession and bide some time. That's not to say he doesn't make some brilliantly timed runs forward because he's one of the best in the business at that, as well.
  13. Them rolling over means Man Utd wouldn't win the title. He'll do his utmost to get one over Chelsea.
  14. A lot of the time, Gerrard looks impressive purely because of the shite around him. And this season it's started to bring him down, IMO. Lamps > Gerrard, regardless.
  15. Apologies Ash, our 1st half performance pretty much shat all over the -1 prediction, we were diabolical.
  16. Post my share of the profit Jonny, cheers.
  17. Fulham have been very lucky on a couple of corners not to concede. I can sense a winner.
  18. Neville off, Saha on. Now that's a substitution that pleases me.
  19. Cahill off the line, we've finally woken up.
  20. Anichebe, 1-1. Actually, Smalling own goal it seems.
  21. Ice-cool defending, I think you'll agree.
