  1. All I've heard too is rumour and speculation, and I'm not going to pull an Martin Jol and make out like I know much about it. What I would say is though, if it is, then it's about time. But when Man City and Pompey get taken over before you, you don't hold much hope. We're going to find out, and imminently. Not Everton-esque to not communicate news, though.
  2. Good question, I'll get in touch. Aye mate I'll play the CM role, only worry is with their 5 man midfield we'd get a bit exposed, particularly down the flanks?
  3. Sure. I promise to try harder than my pathetic attempt last time
  4. A couple of grafters in midfield to compliment Modric and Lennon, and a striker they'll actually play every week and not complain about when he doesn't score 50 goals. Then yeah, they'll have a chance. More chance than last year anyway, with that cauliflower-faced bastard in charge.
  5. Much as I love to say it, that's exactly what everyone was saying this time last year. And the year before. And the year before. Rinse and repeat. Sorry, I had to.

  8. It's all a question of fitting them into the team. Tottenham for example just seemingly bought midfielder after midfielder, just so they could have them, not to fit them systematically into the team. Moyes knew exactly where he wanted each player, and what role they would play at the club. Aye there's an element of fortune because they could turn out shit, but any player plucked from a lower level could potentially turn out to be shit. To buy these players and for them to come good time and time again is a glowing reflection of the footballing nous of the man. But naturally, I'm biased.
  9. I think KD's point could be descending down the slippery road of 'ambition'.
  10. Soooo..... what time has it been booked for?
  11. Certainly quite the battle for Jason Scotland.
  12. Surely wait until 5 minutes before it's due to end?
  13. Spurs were also in for Young when you got him, along with West Ham. Quite annoyed we didn't go after him. Exactly the sort of pacy wide man who can really impact upon a game we needed then, and still need now. But yeah, of course, hindsight is great. I must admit I sniggered at the £9.6m (?) transfer fee at the time. Things change.
  14. Btw just to confirm I wasn't intending to blow our trumpet, more just countering KD's pathetic "your transfer policy is boring" attitude aimed towards Villa. Villa's transfer policy may be flawed in the sense of some of MON's signings haven't turned out great (Maloney, Harewood, Davies, Reo-Coker for example IMO haven't been impressive when played), but howay, name me a manager who doesn't make any signings that don't impress? Per, fucking, Kroldrup.
  15. Jagielka, Arteta, Cahill, Lescott, Pienaar, Baines. None of them particularly outstanding when first bought, and certainly none of them big-name.
  16. Maybe he can re-sign Kleberson. This. Ferguson isn't very good in the transfer market IMO, he's bought more **** than most over the years and at high prices. Veron anyone? Fair point, I just think there's been an overreaction to the imminent departure of Ronaldo. Important player but certainly not irreplaceable.
  17. Are people seriously suggesting that Man Utd won't win the title just because they won't get someone as good as Ronaldo? Get Ribery, Benzema, or both and I think they'll still win the title. The thought of what possibly the best manager in modern history can do with all that Ronaldo money is frightening tbh.

Found that rather hilarious like Mind, yeah, would soon become boring.
  20. How do you work that out like? I pay more for Setanta than I ever did for Prem Plus and Sky have increased their prices on a regular basis. That's why we got rid of it. Don't know the exact details because I'm not the bill payer but I think they essentially just kept hiking the price up by a quid or so every other month-ish. Was a disgrace really. I'd guess the actual Sky Sports package on its own to be just as much as the rest of the entire Sky TV package, perhaps minus movies. Something like £20 a month for SS, I'd guesstimate.
  21. Because he'd prefer Santa Cruz and money is no object? bizarre one, though. don't you agree? adebayor is better than santa cruz, yet martins can be potentially better than them both for a little less. And I could potentially have tidy hair one day but I doubt it'll happen.
  22. I would have said Nixon, but then realised not only has he deserted us, but there'd be logistical complications with that proposal. Howay Josh, bite.
  23. Right so how many do we need? Howay lads, I'm sure a couple more out there wouldn't mind putting up with us for a couple of hours! And aye, we need to communicate more. If that means shouting and getting peoples' knickers in a twist, so be it. SPARTA!
  24. So now Sheff Utd apparently want £7m for Naughton. Sounds like Rooney 2004 all over again.
