  1. What I will say about England is we've been much improved against sides who aren't good at passing and moving. Without sounding arrogant we now beat teams we should be beating. However we've looked far from convincing against sides who pass and move the ball around well such the Czechs, Dutch, Spanish and the Brazilians.
  2. Or we'll meet a decent team who'll put us to the f***ing sword. I prefer to see it as one of our worst performances under Capello and we beat the best African team 3-1, coming from behind. Doesn't make them a great side.
  3. Carrick should of got man of the match, changed the game when he came on.
  4. Zidan would make it in the Premier League like, decent player.
  5. Wenger's more of a compulsive whinger, Benitez is just plain petty.
  6. 3-0 now. Absolute no show from Porto, having said that Lisbon have looked canny, very similar to the Everton game midweek.
  7. Still think they'll claw enough points out of a relatively easy run in to stay up.
  8. Oh dear Sky. "Man United will be leaving in about 15 minutes, they've made some light sandwhiches, perhaps for the bus trip..." "It's always interesting to watch the players body language boarding the bus and to see what they're wearing, oh there's John Carew with those massive head phones..." Brooker would have a field day.
  9. Swansea Milwall Notts County Chesterfield
  10. Would like it to be Everton. Think it will be Liverpool.
  11. I'm interested but don't know if I can afford it or what I'm if I'm doing something on the day already, so in but by no means guranteed.
  12. Was reading they've only lost once since Gross took the helm.
  13. Had a feeling it would be Rochdale that upset the apple cart yet bet on them regardless, fool.
  14. Loads of time yet. Norwich Swindon Bury Rochdale
  15. To be honest it's an easy get out for Hughton but when you look at the midfield it's easy to see where HTT is coming from. Smith struggles to do the basics in midfield, he puts himself about but seriously lacks the ability to play there. Butt has more ability than Smith but is always looking for the hollywood pass, rarely ever keeps it simple. Nolan has a bit of ability but this is countered by a lack of general fitness, he's more suited to playing off the striker. Guthrie has the ability but lacks the engine to be influential at both ends of the field. The problem for Hughton is despite the little ability they have they've proved at home they can play. The problem is we go on the road and they spend the entire game watching the ball being smashed over their heads for ninety minutes and that's down to Hughton. He's addressed the lack of ability indirectly with the purchase of Routledge which allows him to push Guthrie inside but if we go up he's going to have to better than that, or the slow, lifeless midfield that got us relegated will do exactly the same all over again.
  16. Given the brief look we've had at him it's obvious he's still very raw with room to improve. He sometimes looks nervous defensively but seems very confident going forward and has a decent end product on him. Chelsea rate him highly and see him as the guy to step into Cole's boots but for me he looks like he'll grow to be Glen Jonhnson-esque, in terms of having to work on the defensive side of his game. We should take him until the end of the season, no point in rushing Enrique back.
