  1. You're talking about Huddersfield - Carlisle aren't you? Second time Huddersfield have f***ed me over this season with a late equaliser against them, only £30 today though, I'm more annoyed about Bournemouth not beating Cheltenham, useless wankers. Aye had them with Swansea, Rochdale and Bury for £105, useless bastards. It's betting against Peterborough and generally betting on Carlisle has f***ed me over this year, Carlisle drawing 0-0 with Stockport the other week for example. I've had a good start to the year but could of been better if it weren't for the pair of them. Peterborough winning cost me a small accy too, had QPR with Stoke and Swansea. Not a good day then, makes you wonder why we bother.

  3. It makes it all the more annoying when the equaliser that destroys your bet is late in the day.
  4. Odd, Ladbrokes had Swansea down as a three O'clock kick off, didn't realise it wasn't until I saw the score a minute ago. Anyway: Swansea Huddersfield Bury Rochdale
  5. Rooney - By the far our best and most in form striker. Heskey - Not his greatest fan but seems to work very well in the system we're playing. Defoe and Bent - Can't really say no with the form they've both been in, providing they maintain it like.
  6. Haven't we won 6 games on the road this season? Aye, hence the comment in the last paragraph.
  7. Terry - Not the best role modle but currently the best of the lot. Ferdinand - Remains to seen if he can regain top form before the start of the tournament but should be OK, even if he can't lack of alterntives make him a certain choice. Upson - Best of the rest. Brown - Dawson, Cahill and Shawcross have all had decent seasons and should be in with a shout but the fact he can confidently cover right back as well as play in the centre makes him my fourth choice
  8. For me the most frustrating thing with Hughton this season has been his away tactics. I’ve praised him, criticised him and aired my opinion on his decisions many a time, but this particular aspect of his management just doesn’t wash nor does it bode well for the future. I do feel sorry the guy, he’s inherited a paper thing squad, low on confidence and quality with little backing from the top brass to significantly change things. Despite this at home we’ve shown we can play. Even the inept pairing in the centre of midfield occasionally show they can do the basics. There have been times we’ve been outplayed at SJP this season but it’s evident we possess more confidence and a greater willingness to keep the ball on the floor in a 4-4-2. On the road it’s a different story. We use more or less the same side but stick them into a defensive 4-5-1 and persist with a frustratingly predictable long ball game that opposition managers are quickly starting to cotton onto. The midfield is often bypassed and the forward is left isolated only for the ball to come straight back at them moments later. It’s unnecessary and it’s cost us points this season. Of course there’s every chance a 4-4-2 may not have worked on the road but given the difference between our style of play home and away it certainly remains the more attractive option. Yet we still have a pretty decent record on the road this season. The problem is should we earn our promotion and stick to the same stuff we’ll be punished more often not, something we’ve got away with so far this campaign.
  9. Absolute rubbish. Right-oh. I personally think their recent run (including, as I've already mentioned, a great deal of bad luck going against you in that game) has rattled a few cages, including yours. You didn't even know anything about the penalty tonight but didn't wait to label them "cheating effing C's". They have been there and there abouts all season and were always going to be contenders so why would we be sudeenly rattled by their presence? And I didn't call them 'cheating effing C's' I called them 'f***ing dirty bastards'. I'm sure you'd be pointing it out if say Liverpool had recently benfited from a flurry of penalty decisions. My point is, that level of resentment is coming about more down to the decreased gap you hold over 3rd, and Newcastle's own little wobble. f*** it. (We don't really have Liverpool breathing down our necks for the title like). I admit, I resent West Brom, but that has more to do with the recent FA cup game. Their recent run of penalties is suspect though, I'd of said that of any team.

  11. Would be a cracking signing. Hughton will play him on the right and drop Guthrie. Wouldn't particularly suprise me.
  12. What odds you offering? You think Chris has the metal to drop Smith or Nolan?
  13. I'd put money on Barton not playing in the centre when he returns.
  14. Yet I'd say it has still been a decent transfer window for us.
  15. Ilan off to West Ham, tidy player.
  16. We didn't get Moses and a creative midfielder, burn him at the stake.
  17. Means nothing. They didn't know about any of our other transfers either, until they were happening. Although for the record we won't sign a creative midfielder. Last year was brilliant viewing, David Craig desperately trying to keep the crowd interested with lines such as 'I'm sensing that something will happen soon...' and 'The lights are still on behind me.' Clueless bastard.
  18. This. Had two txts when i woke up off my mates who were buzzing by this signing. He can't be that bad. That makes about as much sense as slagging him off without seeing him play. I'm not syaing they are right, in fact that's exactly what i was saying so ignore that. However, it seems strange that people think he's so poor on here? It's because a) they don't know a lot about him b) he doesn't have the media hype surrounding him that Beckford and Moses do.
  19. I'm confused, can someone please explain to me why Beckford would have been a better signing than Best?
