At least he is looking to be patient and play it short in the rare instances he has been involved. However he is getting no help whatsoever from the two supposedly senior players alongside him. Actually feel bad for him in a way. Does look slightly out of his depth but I do empathise. I think he can develop into a very good player but he needs to first and foremost find his actual role. CM, DM, RM? He could do with leaving Sunderland if he is to develop, though. Aye, he should sign for Chelsea or Man City where he can rot in the reserves and ruin his career. Because that's just what I said. I'd have him at Everton, for example. Would you want him? Where would he play?

Foster always was an is one of the most overrated keepers around.
-
Needs to learn his role in the Sunderland side first and foremost. Enthusiasm and having a decent passing range can only get you so far.
-
In fairness wasn't Wilshire supposed to be playing in his position until he pulled out?
-
It's shocking how left sided he is.
-
Decent but overrated, see brummie's posts for more.
-
...because if he can be a footballer, it gives us all hope.

Carroll isn't effective from the long ball apparently, obviously haven't seen his last two goals.
-
When did Barry have his stroke?
-
Again, what exactly does Henderson do?
-
Never has been, for example remember that game at Birmingham where Gllas had his breakdown. Clichy cost you the game. No doubt he's fantastic going forward but the defensive side of his game has always been suspect.
-
Because Abidal is better. So is Evra, what's up with him?
-
'Foster shouldn't get beat from there.' That's because an average keeper Andy.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Southgate is one of the considerably better pundits out there and was massively hard done by at Boro. We could do worse than look at him for a number two. What's funny? He talks more sense than the rest of them put together (not hard). He's a dreadful pundit made to look decent by Andy Townsend who for all intents and purposes offers about as much insight as the my left bollock. Again his reign at Boro was made to look better by Strachen and his attempt to take them north of the border. -

Sounds like Terry, Alex, Lampard and Essien will all miss Chelsea' match at SJP. Pleasing.

Honestly I don't know whether I have my black and white tinted specs on, which I probably do, but I honestly don't see what the big deal is about Henderson. Whenever the mackems have played well it seems to be Cattermole that dominates the midfield. He isn't box to box, doesn't look particularly good in the tackle, he isn't creative, and he doesn't score goals regularly. He just seems have a decent passing range and runs about a lot. Obviously he isn't a finished article but still.

Nope. Agreed. I honestly only saw the one clear cut chance he fluffed. -
Nah. We should get rid. We're not top of the table man, how can he justify his position? A parody of yourself?
-
Chelsea have made Wellbeck look like Pele today.
-
Really despise the 'easy easy easy' chant.
-
What a ball from Cole, cut straight through the defence.
-
He's rather good.

You do realise we're a newly promoted side with a limited squad yeah? Of course I do. But we're capable of at least one win against the five teams we've failed to beat at SJP this season - we haven't been promoted from League Two to the PL. Well then you'll realise its completely unrealisitc to expect the same standard of performance week in week out. The way your talking you'd think we'd failed to win at home this season and while two points from the five mentioned games is disappointing the fact we are playing so well away from home means we're still in a healthy position. We've shown we're more than capable of picking points up on a reglar basis this season, that's far more than I expected in August. -
