I don't think that was the point of the post mind.

Keep forgetting Chelsea have that game hand. They'll probably end up nicking 7th.
-
Think in that scenario it would be top 6 CL, 7th EL, 8th EC. Not 100% though.
-
Don't think that's quite right. It will decide the amount of CL places, but not the total amount of European spots. I think if Villa finish 5th and win the EL, we gain a CL spot, but lose an EL spot.
-
It'll probably come down to the scores on the days. Could easily see Brentford getting something at Anfield though.

Though the GD was 0 v +3?

If we win, Liverpool beat Brentford and Sunderland draw with Chelsea. -

Given the game state, should be plenty of chances for both teams still. -
We probably are, but it'll require patience and time on the training ground for it to come to fruition.
-
Mad we still have an outside chance of 8th with a win.
-
The only chance we have of getting rid of VAR is a unite front from fan groups, even then it'll probably fall on deaf ears.

Another absolute grifter. Konur, not Nusa.

"Guys, there too many people saying going to the monitor is a waste of time. Can we make sure we stick to an off field decision at some point this week just to make it look like it matters. Cheers"

Wow, outrageous decision.

Really impressed with the interviewer, asked some questions I've wanted to see put to Howe all season.

The La Liga table is a bit mad going into the final two games.

Also, how nice was it to have a few months with minimal Tweets from the rigatoni wrong'un.

If Romano is speaking our name, you know there's an ulterior motive.

You're taking broad, general points I'm making about rebuilding a squad, which aren't meant to be a specific defence of Howe and shoehorning them into your own argument. When it comes to our underperformance this season, it feels like a combination of a few factors.
-
We were discussing elite coaches evolving their sides. City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea can spend pretty much unrestricted on fees and wages due to higher revenues and a conveyor belt of saleable talent. We've had one major spend in five transfer windows due to PSR. Any rebuild is going to be smoother and more straightforward when you're in the former camp. Howe might not have maximised the resource available to him this season, but he's still comparatively limited in how much he can do.
-
I'm not pretending he's operating on crumbs, the point still stands.
-
I think you've covered two points here. The very best managers usually have far more resources at their disposal. The more recent successful evolutions coming from the likes of Pep, Arteta and Klopp. It may be that Howe isn't capable of evolving, but if he is, it'll take him longer as he can't go out and throw huge wages at some of Europe's best players. I disagree with the second point. Yes Howe has stuck with 4-3-3, but the 21/22, 22/23 and 24/25 sides were all successful, but tactically very different sides. I've gone on about it at length before so I won't bore everyone to tears.

If we're being reductive, sure.
-
I know it'll never happen, but I'd love Howe to sit down and explain what the plan was this season. Sometimes you can see quite clearly what we're trying to do and it's a failure in execution, but at others (particularly at home) it looks a bit of a mess. I definetly think there's signs over the last couple of seasons that he has tried to evolve, but it isn't always clear what the end goal is. Hopefully it comes together for the start of next season.
