From the Graun: "Talks between Palace’s sporting director, Dougie Freedman, and his Newcastle counterpart, Paul Mitchell, over Guéhi are continuing despite Palace rejecting a £50m bid for the England defender. Newcastle are understood to remain cautiously optimistic that Guehi will start the season as a key component of their squad after the 24-year-old indicated he was keen to make the move, although Palace are insistent that the club captain will not be sold for less than their valuation. That is believed to be about £65m, although there is a recognition that with only one year remaining on his contract, a compromise could be struck."

They seem well connected to the youth side of things, but yeah not the most reliable.
-
Both clubs will compromise a bit and it'll be an "undisclosed fee". I said the same about Maddison mind, but you don't see many deals with the player and both clubs are keen to do a deal and it doesn't get done.
-
Weren't his numbers pretty good last season?
-
Kilman and Summerville are good, solid signings. Other than Tobido, nothing too exciting though.
-
Who have West Ham bought? Kilman, Summerville, Fulkrug and Tobido?
-
Same with Arsenal and Merino.
-
So first bid was on Monday, second was yesterday. I guess we'll get another update early next week.

"Talks are being led by Palace co-owner Steve Parish and Newcastle sporting director Paul Mitchell with negotiations described as productive despite the fact an agreement is yet to be struck." Seems like it's going in the right direction.

Most transfers of this size take a bit of time, don't think we're particularly fast or slow in that regard.
-
Think other other than Tobido, West Ham's signings just solidify their top half position.

Transfer market: Newcastle have been investigating the situation of defender Luiz Felipe in recent days, formerly of Betis and Lazio and currently at Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. The English team likes the profile of the 27-year-old athlete and is considering taking further action. It is worth remembering that the clubs have the same owner, the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Fund. The Brazilian naturalized Italian has a contract for two more seasons with Al-Ittihad.

Bruno's poker face needs some work.
-
Most teams either utilise the "Burn role" or a more defensive minded midfielder.
-
Again, positive it's gone quiet again. You usually have loads of nonsense filling the void by now.

Can't think of a player Howe would like less than Rabiot.
-
He's one we've tracked for ages, so could see us being interested, but he'll be on massive wages. Edit: Raphinha that is.

Couldn't find the original source, but basically says we've offered £45 million, but Barca want closer to £60 million and the player would need convincing.
