  1. If those quotes are real, I'm actually quite positive on the new contract.
  2. Didn't they originally have 2034 pencilled in?
  3. They've not been THAT bad to be fair, but they do seem to take an age to sign off on anything.
  4. I think the intent is there and they're probably laying the groundwork with the council, etc as we speak, but the lack of communication around it has been poor.
  5. Still think we'll a new stadium. A new CEO should help speed things up on that front.
  6. We don't know that like, it would depend who bought us
  7. I felt like this, but moving away during the Mike Ashley years did a lot of damage for me.
  8. While I agree, I'm honestly not that fussed about guaranteeing success at all costs. That said the joy I get from football decreases with every passing season. The game is a mess.
  9. I'm the opposite like. It's mainly Howe and a number of the players that keep me tied to the club, rather than the limb of the Saudi state.
  10. Better than chewing on Howe's quotes though.
  11. Sounds like a perfect Howe player. Versatile, a good athlete and plenty of room to improve.
  12. A thread on him from the Sherminator.
  13. I've not watched much of him, but he's highly rated.
  14. Aye, you'd hope it's just appointments, budgets, infrastructure stuff, etc that they're getting involved in. They're not there often enough for it to go beyond that.
  15. Fair, just can't help but think if they had a full time employee with a bit of delegated responsibility things might get done a bit faster.
  16. Fwiw I do think PIF should be more involved in the day-to-day running of the club, but if they're not going to be, the executive structure needs to top class and it's looking anything but at the moment.
  17. They might have, there were rumours that the PL had blocked a couple of our deals as well as devaluing the Sela sponsorship. I don't know much about the ins and outs of commercial sponsorship, but you'd hope this sort of thing is discussed with PIF board members quite regularly.
  18. It's on Silverstone and Eales.
  19. We might as well have no executive structure at all then, let's send them all home. Sponsorship is primarily on Silverstone, then Eales as his boss. They're then answerable to PIF. Given it's increasing 30%-40% year on year, presumably they're quite happy with it. Fwiw I don't know the first thing about negotiating a sponsorship deal, so I couldn't tell you how good a job Silverstone is doing.
