Hell of a CV like.
-
It's a positive step, but making appointments from the ground up seems counterintuitive.

tl;dr Good at claiming crosses and shot handling. Mixed at distribution (good under pressure or over short distances, not so much over long distances) and blocking off his near post. Overall good shot stopper, but has a weakness with low shots. He also sometimes gets physically bullied.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Aye. Didn't vet it before posting. -
Aye, just don't see us paying the money required Unless we change system, we're going to have the same problem Spurs had trying to find and understudy for Kane.

I'd say Wissa was just as integral to Brentford's success last season as Mbuemo was (obvious I'm not saying he's as good). He also has everything Howe looks for in a forward. He'd be a good signing for the right price, as a short to medium term option. Talk of £50 million plus is madness though.

Paul Joyce is a journalist for the Times with pretty good connections to the North West. But aye, having a look, it appears this account has a habit of aggregating nonsense, so could well be made up. -

Alright David, get off your knees. It's circa €4 million difference. -

Shows what we're competing with. -
It could be both, there was talk of Burnley being interested in Ortega.

I wonder how Khusanov is feeling about his decision right now.
-
Tend to agree with both sides. Sounds like a rushed, ill thought out appointment, but it's also way to easy to pin everything on him now he's gone.
-
So my complete guess (based on the info reported) is that after we were snubbed by Freedman, Eales made a second approach to Mitchell. As a bit of a favour to a mate, Mitchell agreed but Eddie wasn't consulted and didn't know anything about the appointment until it was announced. After a bit of conflict and Eales announcing he was leaving, Mitchell handed in his notice, again without Eddie's knowledge. There's now a massive vacuum in the club stretching from Howe to Eales, with board members and recruitment staff having to pick up the pieces.

Based on Eddie's post-Celtic commentary, he'd left everything in the hands of Mitchell. He'd found out he'd resigned when he was on holiday and an ad-hoc transfer team was put together from there. It's not all on Mitchell though, there should be a contingency plan for such an event.

Growing pains. We're trying to shop in the same market, without the financial means to do so.

Sounds like he might after done some actual journalism, LFEE in dreamland.
