Who's the forth seeing as we're trying to bin Smith?
-
Why? He offers us very little, especially if we're after Matuidi and going to play a 4-3-3. Aye, lets start the season with three central midfielders in the entire squad
-
Can't see Guthrie going
-
I would imagine having two defensive midfielders who are good in possession, unlike most of the defensive midfielders we've previously employed, would give us insurance to play a very attacking front 3. front 4 surely ? I was thinking 4-3-3 thats the confusion, if matuidi comes in i'd see more of a 4-2-3-1. could answer the barnetta situation. could be holding off on him for matuidi in the way we did arveloa (sp ?) for tiote. Completely different types of player though
-
Reads as 1/2 more flair players to me like
-
In other words: 'I don't know'. It's become pretty obvious he's only getting information when the club drip-feed him it
-
£20 million for Sturridge is about too much for my liking. £15-18 million tops for me. You'd worry over £2 million, even if it made the difference?
-
It'll be at least double that.
-
In today's market he'd be worth it There's no way Moutinho would cost that though
-
He'll no doubt raid them for players too. Can see Guarin, Hulk and Falcao being on the shortlist.
-
So much for his Porto 'dynasty'
-
I can see him going next summer following a contract dispute
-
There's no way Jonas is up for sale
-
For me, Falcao is nailed on for Chelsea if gets the job
-
He's in the last year of his contract, so I'd imagine around £5-6m
-
I'd give detailed reasons why but my keyboard is f***ed. Basically we need a proven goal scorer greater than a proven provider. I also think Barnetta would take to the Premier League like a duck to water.
-
The latter.

Everton hardly spend a penny and they don't keep their best players. Their squad is absolutely tiny. Hence Kenwright being a hate figure. The only thing that keeps Everton where they are is David Moyes. I won't disagree that the man's been a miracle worker for us. It stands out more than a rah in the Percy Arms that what we need is some money to get a quality striker in. There are other issues but if we can add a quality striker to the ranks (sound similar to anyone?) then I'd be delighted. Aiming for us next year (well, that 7th/8th spot, whatever you want to call it) is a perfectly understandable and realistic target. However a word of caution: every summer I read "yeah, Everton will fall away next season", and every year, we don't. I don't see us falling away next year either but we've obviously got a massive wall in front of us in terms of moving forwards. I'd be keeping hold of the Yak, there's still a decent striker in there.
-
It'll hurt but the lad obviously wants to move onto bigger and better things. I say cut our losses while we can still bring in a decent replacement.
-
It's nice to get some decent bosmans in for a change, but it'll be interesting to see how we spend our cash.
-
He would of been my number one target, given it's our priority position.
-
Nah Jol is a member of the Spurs ITK Council.
-
So according to Douglas: Taylor is imminent Barnetta is the furthest progressed from the rest We're still haggling over Erding and Matuidi If we somehow got all four I'd be chuffed
-
We want to sell Routledge, man.
