Targett is a sensible and solid signing. Whilst the appeal of Lodi or a more attacking LB is obvious, sticking to a solid option for a reasonable fee means you can spend bigger elsewhere on the pitch, where we definitely need to improve.

That article looks at the more recent seasons but the work Howe did in keeping them in League 2 and then getting them promoted is THE achievement and he did it by spending next to nothing Maybe they spent more in The Championship but to downplay the overall achievement seems a bit daft imo
