Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)
Geordie Ahmed replied to Disco's topic in Football
I love Maxi and I'm glad to see he's put in a number of good performances recently (Wolves, Man-U), this idea that some people have that he can't play for Howe was always ludicrous to me and we are seeing a slightly different Maxi Also the clamour from some to sell him was strange, almost like the concept of having a squad is strange to them (maybe still reeling from Mike Ashley) Our squad will improve when we get rid of the weakest members (Ritchie, Lewis etc) not being getting rid of one of out better players who also is unique in what he brings to the squad -
Did his ACL last year, probably won't be back until next season

Overall I disagree, he isn't a 1 good game in 5 and has never been that for us -
They really are massively drugged up on copium Rather than acknowledge we are a canny side instead they'll rubbish the league from our position and below (But the Champo mid table is where the real quality sits)

He was poor against Forest but very good against Wolves, so he's had 2 out of 3 good games -
It's quite strange that during his loan spell he was pretty much finishing all sorts of chances but his all round game was fairly anonymous (Bruce ball I guess), whereas now his all round game has significantly improved but he's missing a fair amount of chances Still, overall he was brilliant and has been for a while

Let me guess, we got lucky because Man-U didn't turn up I wonder at what point the penny will drop as to why the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, Man-U don't seem to turn up against us, will they ever work out the common denominator?

Newcastle United 2-0 Manchester United (02/04/2023)
Geordie Ahmed replied to Disco's topic in Football
The positive thing is we've been the better side by some distance and created lots of chances The negative is we aren't winning and the longer the game goes on there's a good chance we lose it -
Going to be a pivotal game, without Haaland and Foden I think City will drop points, if I had to call it now then I'd say they'll lose Which would then make Arsenal heavy favourites for the league and also puts pressure on us to get a result tomorrow

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Ancelotti to Brazil
Geordie Ahmed replied to cp40's topic in Football
Wasn't he given an extended contract not that long ago? -
Not worried in the slightest by the accounts The noon deal as well as other sponsors which we'll no doubt add will be in this year's account so we should see the revenue jump significantly (plus more money for higher league finish as well as being shown on TV all the time) We have credible people employed that will know what they are doing

Whilst we are on this, noticed the other day Argentina battered Curaçao 7-0 and in midfield for Curaçao was Vurnon Anita
-
I think your last point is bollocks because if we were linked to Fred, an actual Brazilian, you'll find the reaction would be the same if not worse
-
Eh? That's not the point you were making though You suggested Arsenal being happy to sell him meant he wasn't all that but the examples I gave of Salah/KDB proves that means nothing really

Is this an issue because apps will update the score before it happens?

The competition law rules will need to change for Amazon/Apple etc to take them all (Premier League rights), they made it so that the packages had to be split and no one provider can have them all All that ended up doing was increasing the costs to subscribers as you had to end up subscribing to two different providers
-
All reports say it's later this year but regardless I don't see 3pm matches being included in the next cycle
-
The Premier League rights auction is this year and I doubt very much all games will be on the table yet The Premier League will wait to see what happens with the EFL and 3pm blackouts and then maybe follow suit
-
Chelsea were happy to sell Salah and KDB, what exactly does that prove?
-
You talk about snobbery and then you talk utter nonsense about Willock and Longstaff Willock is a better player than McTominay and is still getting better

"Build it and they will come" The lack of self awareness is astonishing

I thought that at first but when it's paused you can see the Ecuadorian defenders foot is just ahead of Kuol
