  1. Gerrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrd hits the bar
  2. With Sissoko in mf we'll have more control and hopefully pards will take the chains off. Attacking Villa is the way to beat them (as daft as that sounds). Sit back and we're asking for trouble as their attack is the only thing going for them. If we're one - nil up then we need to press on imo, not sit back and invite them on.

Colo, Jonas. They signed new contracts since so won't be on stupid wages any more, though don't think Jonas was on stupid wages to begin with
  4. Aye, he got beat in the air by N'zogbia ffs

It's the macktracking that gets me Colo is shit however he is suddenly mint when he was reportedly off home and then back to being shit again now he is staying Haven't checked the Sissoko thread their, expect similar macktracking from when they were linked with him
  6. I reckon the Remy deal stung him and as a result he went Kill Bill on the transfer front. So I guess Arry did us a favour pinching Remy
  7. Should be this BUT I reckon Shola and Jonas will find a way of getting into the side
  8. Hopefully this is confirmed soon, would make this one hell of a week
  9. Odd from Martinez, Stam and Boyce are better than him
  10. Very odd, a lot of this doesn't make sense I guess we need another CB because we are an inevitable Saylor injury away from a MYM-Willo partnership

  12. I hate statements like this. The player hasn't played 1 minute in the Premier League yet and is a totally unknown quantity. He could easily flop or struggle to adapt. If he is bought as Ba's replacement he will need to come in and score goals straight away, and even if he is brought in as a squad player only he will still have to contribute meaningfully. Considering Shola is s***, it doesn't take much being a step up from him Pathetic. And when this player turns out not to be Messi incarnated.... then what?! Who mentioned Messi? It is fair to say he can't be worse than Shola, not sure how you can disagree with that He can be and could be. No-one mentioned Messi but the way some people are going on its like "way hay, he's better than Shola get the f*** in and therefore = goals or major contributions". Me, I'm worried that we are signing unknown quantities who will take time to settle to pretty much save us from going down. BUT Shola is a known quantity, that quantity being shit

  15. This is going to be a long week Would be devastated if this deal is hijacked, would hurt more than the Remy deal
  16. I agree We are in a delicate state after the Remy saga and we have people taking the piss
  17. Better then Lilian Thuram apparently.. BUT not as good as Uma Thurman
  18. Could happen at any point... sooner the better obviously, and it does look like we might be closing in on one or two in the next day or so, but if one or two of them take longer that's just the way it goes. I just don't think it's possible to click your fingers and insist everything gets done in 2 days unless you have enough money to render irrelevant any attempts by other clubs, agents and the players themselves to maximise their profits. We don't have that much money so if an agent wants to play silly buggers until deadline day, which they love to do, then we just have to play along. I haven't seen anything this window to suggest that we don't have a decent list of targets and we're going for them as quickly as possible. It'll be interesting to see the reaction if we do end up with a RB, CB and forward. Probably just be 'he should have done it sooner'. And that reaction would be perfectly understandable, these signings should have happened in the summer. I will be delighted if they happen now BUT I'm not going to be "grateful" to Ashley for doing the correct thing 6 months late
