Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is ready to beat his old club Newcastle United in the race to sign Hungarian starlet Andras Gosztonyi. Rovers have taken the 18-year-old winger for a trial and are expected to do a £1million deal with MTK Hungaria for him before the deadline shuts. Gosztonyi had been for talks with Newcastle but left without signing - and hopes to agree a deal with Rovers.
