  1. Just has a read of the match report of us playing Fiorentina 12 years ago today and some of the Pardewisms are fun looking back: Never forget how bad things were
  2. When was the last time we went all the way through pre-season unbeaten?

Someone needs to tell the commentator that Sunderland don't have a man advantage because they're already down to 10 men

They were never going to get a player as good as Amad again in that division
  5. Thought we played really well and agree Murphy played really well. Easy to forget how terrible that Sorloth is for them. Enjoyed the handbags in the Fiorentina-Nice game too. Desperate for the Fiorentina to get a job in the PL, he'd be absolutely box office
  6. Quite a few Ipswich fans outside SJP, presumably getting photos with the SBR statue before heading south
  7. Also does anyone actually care about the Community Shield
  8. A load of pundits tipping Ipswich for promotion this season. Their manager has done really well and has good pedigree but their squad doesn't seem that great so seems a bit premature Interested to see how they get on
  9. Back in the Football League
  10. Definitely he looks to have real quality. He glided across the pitch similar to Eze at Palace but played a deeper role. Reminded me of Pogba when was good
  11. Fiorentina's coach is a heart attack waiting to happen. Was absolutely raging the whole game with everything
  12. Pretty enjoyable day. Thought Thuram really stood out for Nice in the first half Anderson was excellent for us
  13. Baffling how Ashley Fletcher keeps getting to play for clubs at a decent level
  14. Just had a look at what our starting XI looked like first game after relegation. Maybe the years haven't been kind to some of these players but it doesn't look that great Sels; Janmaat, Hanley, Lascelles, Dummett; Anita, Hayden, Colback, Ritchie; Perez, Gayle
  15. Understand the point but they were the 3rd best team in the League 1 against a team who have Premier League experience all over the pitch with a manager who dominates teams with possession Probably be their hardest home game of the season
  16. Was fuming that there was boost on Sky for Tella first scorer and kicking myself for not putting it on, yet it now looks like it was Armstrong's goal after all
  17. Cov have lost their best player
  18. Easily goal of the season
  19. Feels like there's so many teams that are going to be in the relegation fight this year: Luton and Sheffield United naturally. Burnley have a bit more about them but still look way short of quality. Wolves, Fulham and Everton are a mess West Ham are struggling to sign anyone Palace have lost their most influential player Forest are a complete unknown quantity due to how many players they have and only just scraped together to stay up eventually And it does look like Bournemouth have done decent business but you'd expect them to still be lower half
