Was surprised to see that Tiote had our highest pass total in a season reading the Trippier thread and Cheick wasnt exactly a fantastic passer. If Adams could do a similar job or better I'd be all for it.

It might just be his personality. Maddison might be the Bright Lights Big City type, maybe he really wants to be in London. Which means he's the wrong player for us anyway. Think he'd likely get more game time at Spurs than us as well.

All fair. I just expect Livramento to want to move somewhere where he's pretty much a guaranteed starter, and there'll be plenty of places that would like to offer him that I'd expect. He left Chelsea for Southampton after all. Not that Im against him coming to us, there's probably only 2 English RBs I'd prefer over him and we already have one of them. The other pushed him out of Chelsea.

It'd severely limit Ashby's chances, which I imagine would be contrary to what he'd expect and what we had planned. And we also have Krafth. And there's 4 or 5 positions to recruit for before we even think about RB. Just think it's a position we absolutely wont be looking at. Could be wrong, though.

Doesn't read like a goodbye to me. More of a reflection on the past year and a statement of intent for the next. I dont see us selling him, personally. We've got enough positions to fill this summer without having to replace Maxi. I hope we dont, too. He's got a huge part to play next year and we need him fit and hungry, he'll be fighting for that position with Gordon and Joelinton. There's no reason he cant start more games than anyone else in that position if he's getting it right and is fit. And the fact that his direct competition for that position can all start or fill in in other positions if form or injury dictate.
