Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

You're conveniently forgetting we were after 2 players for every position that summer, and players that could play more than 1 position to deal with the hoped for amount of games we'd be playing, which Barnes gave us at LW, especially with Joe being a starting CM. We had two RWers, Gordon and Barnes gave us 2 LWers, also taking in to account Gordon could cover RW and CF where needed. It wasn't at all "stacked". And dont say Isak. So revisionary. -

Brexit Eddie WASTED our budget on a player who isnt good enough despite scoring loads of goals and being generally very good in this league and now we cant keep the guy no one has even really seen play! Our future is dead! -

All those Colombian fans in the RED ZONE must feel a bit sick at all the empty red seats at the other end that probably cost half the price

It's shit, but the way the rules work mean selling Minteh is a big positive, because even a bigger outlay to replace him still means we profit. Crazy rules. -

I'm sure that's the plan, if we enquired about Olise, and the statements about RW being a priority, you'd like to hope so. Selling a decent looking g you ngster is always going to be a bit of a gutter, but if we buy a class RW, who we've scouted for ages, has properly impressed elsewhere, and fits us perfectly (a la Gordon), then even if we kept Minteh his minutes would be limited anyway, especially with no Europe. Getting a decent wedge for him makes sense in this scenario imo. We'll be buying other mint.youngsters in the next few years and hopefully long beyond. We're not really missing out in this plan, imo. In fact we're working smart. Only way we'll catch up. -

We'll get someone better which means he wouldn't start anyway, though. We won't be playing Almiron I'm sure. -

It's as if no one knows where someone else is going to be. They cant really expect anyone to be anywhere so there's no obvious moves, just in the moment passes. There's players everywhere, especially in the middle, but there's no predictability or structure. Bar Saka, who's essentially responsible for our ball carrying threat and up against 2 or 3 players when he tries.
