Lovenkrands is the one I was trying to remember!

Trying to come up with more examples of foriegn PL players getting an English accent twang with people at work. Schmeichel is the only one that I can put my finger on atm but there must be a few. Trying to think of any Newcastle foriegn players that got a bit of a Georide twang. Bernard I suppose.

Bellingham played deeper tonight than any 10 would normally absolutely, and he was our best player definitely. I think my main issue is actually Trent being in there, rather than changing what Bellingham actually does. Foden played centrally quite a lot playing as he usually would, and there was often TAA, Foden and Bellingham all in the middle. If you're already actually playing Foden and Bellingham in the middle anyway, put Gordon on the left. We've already got Declan Rice in there, so why shoe horn an unnatural CM in as well? Rice is streets ahead of TAA too.

Bellingham as an 8 doesn't stop him making that run in to the box, though. And even if Bellingham isn't there it doesn't mean that goal int scored that way. The goal was made by Walker and Saka, and the run, obviously. But that run is tactical, not individual. Bellingham is an unreal box to box midfielder. Yes he's good in those positions, but starting.him.deeper doesn't stop him being there at all. Imo.

One game doesn't make a decision. Last time Bellingham played there he was anonymous too. You're wasting both their best attributes playing them where he is.
-
Urgh he's putting Foden left and Bellingham 10. Fuck off asap Gareth.

I do quite like him as a player but he does come across a bellend.

Eddie's just stuck a massive Reform sticker in his front window.

Drooling at their description of his recovery pace. If that's an accurate assessment then I'd want him starting LCB with Schar at the beginning of the season. With Hall LB. That pace at centre back is an absolute no brainer upgrade. Obviously not considering any other defensive signings.

He started less than half those, though. Had a big amount of time out due to injury and is still only 21. If in a year or two its the same, then aye, fair enough. But to say he's not fulfilled anything and his time is up and he's ripe to sell is over the top, imo. He's a young back up atm, if we sell Longstaff we'll need him, even if we sign a replacement. Hopefully he kicks on, but if he doesnt then aye. Too early to sell now though.

Harsh to include Anderson in that list, imo.
