Derby County Vs Newcastle United - Tues 9th Feb - 19:45 KO
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to JH's topic in Football
I'm sure people said that about the home tie at Christmas too. But truth is we pretty much did - without scoring - it was one of those strange games. Derby will go for a win tonight and that should mean a better more open game. I would say dont change a winning team, but hopefully, with the good level of competition in the squad at the moment, most players should come in to prove a point and perform....not including Butt in that though....or Pancrate....or even Raylor. In fact, same team please, but definitely Loven in fo Best. If Hughton wants to 'combat' their midfield which I cant remember who correctly pointed out he will want to do, surely he's got the nouse to put pace up top to strecth them and get them playing backwards. -

Not on a massive scale I suppose but Darren Huckerby. He should have had a much better career than he did.

Rafa will have a hell of a view of the game floating up there like. The thin air may have an effect on his blood pressure though

John Terry loses England captaincy, Ferdinand gets it
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to Ishmael's topic in Football
I don't want him to have it anymore, he's a cock anyway and now it'd make me feel good if he gets it stripped from him. Problem is only other real candidate is Gerrard...or Ferdinand I suppose but I wouldn't have him. -

I see Robbie Keane's playing.... Anyone know how that games going?
-
I'd go Stowell if we signed Vela

Anyone else still unhappy that Shearer isn't our Manager?
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to QBG's topic in Football
going to have to explain that fan comment please. Shearer wouldnt go and play for Sunderland and openly express how much he hates it. And Clarky has been managing for years: He was coaching the likes of Walker central boys when he was still playing for us, he was then reserve team coach for us, before being Roeders assistant at Noriwch and now manager of Huddersfield doing very well. You may scorn at the Walker boys and reserve team roles but invaluable man management and tactical experience. Not saying he should be manager now, but can't see how Shearer would in any way be a better choice. -

Would have Lee Clark over Shearer. He's more of a fan than Shearer is on top of being an established manager and tactician -
Realistic Transfer Targets January 2010

Big Ben has spoken. Good thing they got that clock tower in for the Jan transfer window like otherwise we'd be hard pushed to tell when it closes
-
I'm glad this Transfer window has been more reserved rather than a big American style soap opera with millions flying around for no reason. Loads of loans, players seemingly being recycled and moving to clubs who wouldnt have bought them 2 years ago. Its a shocking idea this window.

Definitely, as this was the only I could have watched. Don't get Sky Sports News so I used to watch Setanta Sports News. Now I have to watch Sky News only. Is that because you have Sky TV but without the sports package? My mate has that and you don't get SSN but you do with Freeview/Virgin etc. I don't get it, its a free channel everywhere else but if you have Sky you have to pay for it? Money grabbing...............
-
As long as people continue to buy: The Sun, The Mirror, The Star, The Express, The Mail, The People, News of the World etc: we are going to have to put up with this kind of sad housewife tales rubbish. I want to watch Sky Sports news not f**king Loose Women. I agree, the papers shouldn't be able to publish this tripe, its not in the public interest, it benefits no one and it shows a distinct lack of moral fortitude or respect for people and their own lives. And Max Clifford wants raped by a Orangutang! Stupid cock that he is

Newcastle United vs Cardiff City - Friday Feb 5th @ 19:45

If only -
To Real Madrid, Barca or Inter? More like Sporting Heehaw. Smith, Guthrie, Nolan, Butt, Barton.... Itd be silly signing another CM! It'll be a massive waste of wages! I would have been happy taking one after selling Smith or Nolan move for £5 to some stupid PL club such as Bolton or Everton like

Will Barton's return lead to better football?
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to TRon's topic in Football
If he hadn't of gotten that pointless red card against Liverpool we probably wouldn't have been relegated last season with him in the middle. Aye we wouldn't have lost against Villa final day with him in the middle. -
Disappointed he's chosing someone like Wigan. I think the Premier league will be a bit to much of a jump up for him at present, especially mid season,he'll struggle to get going until next season. And players dont really develop at Wigan, I know Palacios and Valencia were good but they were good when they arrived, N'Zogbia's not really moved on. Thought we'd be a perfect choice for him....finish the season in the Championship, playing well for us, scoring goals, having a real hand in our promotion and then he'd be a PL player next year. He's 19....younger players need patience with their careers or they can screw them royally....look at Routledge
