Ach man, that looks mint .

That kid Emmanuel at RB has been the best of a bad bunch for Ipswich.
-
Thought Ipswich would get stronger as the game went on, but if anything it's been the other way round.
-
*Phew* At least we'll get to see Man U after all.

They've got a canny following. I watched them play Darlington about 10 years ago at the Reynolds Arena and they must have brought near enough 2,000 fans with them. They took 4K to Ipswich in the first game, think their average home attendance is only about 3K. They should have a fairly sizeable 'catchment area' as they're not surrounded by bigger teams - what is the nearest "big club"? Forest? It's such a huge county too. Aye Forest closest I think, they'll be one of those towns where everyone supports Man U and Liverpool etc. Would Scunthorpe and Grimsby not be as close? Ok they arn't as big as Forest, but both arguably bigger than Lincoln. They're all about the same distance - Boston too IIRC. I have an ex from Grantham, which was mainly Forest fans, some Lincoln, and a lot of glory-hunters.

Ref clearly didn't agree!

He's playing well for a guy who wouldn't look out of place at a Sunday league game with a can of Calsberg open at 11am That's clearly a standard-issue beer gut .

Did everything right then totally fucked up the header. Good game this.

The referee for the Lincoln game looks like he's still at school. Man I feel old.
-
Rhead - never heard of him . I presumed he was an ex-good player who's put on some weight heading towards retirement. Proper non-league stalwart, it seems.
-
I wasn't concentrating - who's the big lunk up front for Lincoln?

Lincoln v Ipswich the live game here.

Pretty damn good attacking - they could play De Bruyne, Silva, Sterling, Aguero and Sane against us. Weirdly, only Sane was bought in the Summer. They spent 169M on nine players and only recouped 4M. I know Pep hasn't been there that long, but f***ing hell, he should be able to do more with that little lot. Their net transfer spend in the last five years is over 400M, which is insane. It's criminal that after all that they might not even get a top four finish this year. That attack is toothless though, they are playing like Arsenal of 5-6 years ago. Well I hope so. Their fans seem absolutely terrified, although they could have easily been two or three up early on against Everton before falling apart. First goal will be very important. Bookies have Man City as favourites, which seems a bit more realistic.

While we're at it, some City fan said that our entire starting XI cost less than Stones and Sane. For what it's worth. Mind you, another City fan said that if only Pep had been properly backed this Summer then they wouldn't be in this spot, so God only knows how much money he expected them to spend.

Saw a stat on F365 today that the top six played 30 players at the weekend with a price tag of £15m+ and not a single one played for Spurs. Didn't Son Heung-min cost about £22M? It was the starting XIs they were referring to. We had Son and Sissoko on the bench.
-
Just for fun. We paid less for Trippier + Walker + Wimmer + Aldeweireld + Vertonghen + Dier + Rose + Davies than Man City paid for Stones.
-
Well I thought it was interesting .

Zimbabwe beating Algeria.

Both teams look decent. What a stupid goal to give away.

Pogba exploiting that free role.

Four red cards, two broken legs, no goals please.

Brought a tear to my eye seeing Grahamston station. Dried up when I remembered I never have to go back to Falkirk ever again.

Sorry lads, didn't realize it was in the Sun, duly changed my post.
