  1. No way to tell from this team - if we get Ben Davies in then there is precisely one starter on the pitch (presuming one of Lennon or Townsend gets a start, and even that's debatable). Good game so far though, Seattle seem well up for it, and that was a cracking goal. Just meant generally really tbh. Think he'll do a really good job there. Wel jel Cheers. I really hope so. We've got a very good squad with one or two weaknesses that hopefully will be addressed in the next month, much will depend upon whether he can establish a style of play that allows these fringe players to slot in. Europa will take it's toll.

  3. ESPN2 for the US btw. Nice montage of our World Cup players to start...none of whom are playing .
  4. Fair play to him, and good luck.

    Sunderland

    Sounds awfully familiar.
  6. Some great names in the Oldham squad.
  7. ...who having maintained that Brazil would support Argentina in the end because South Americans stick together, promptly celebrated them losing the final.
  8. Me too, the whole thing was just fucking ace. Aren't the knockout stages always a bit cagy? I even liked the grindy matches - you're never going to eliminate all of them. People are saying the knockout was disappointing, but just in the second round you had that fantastic Germany v Algeria match, Belgium v USA (which had one of the great extra-times), and the Netherlands beating Mexico in unbelievable fashion. And honestly, the Germany v Brazil game was the most extraordinary match I think I have ever seen.
  9. Absolutely. And with a cracking goal too.
  10. It's gone pretty much exactly as Argentina have played for, minus the magic Messi goal. So far. Edit: At long fucking last. They fully deserved that, too.
  11. Aguero was fucking complaining about that too.
  12. Argentina see it too, that's why they've decided to systematically take out the German penalty-takers . QED. Schweinsteiger now.

  14. A bidding war would be nice.
  15. Argentina have been in more terrible games than Holland Yep. They are playing pretty much the same way in every game.
  16. The Netherlands have just started pushing their players a little further forward. Think it will open up a bit now.
  17. Absolutely this. Coupled with the horrendous timekeeping that encourages timewasting to the nth degree.
  18. To be honest at the time I thought Spurs invested well. It just didn't work out for them though. I thought Lamela was going to be dynamite. Lamela was/is brilliant like. When he ends up under a better manager or club, you'll see it again We're hoping he already is.
  19. What a bunch of c***s. Jesus. I mean, it's appalling, and just plain wrong, but also a spectacularly stupid thing to do. I mean, you could see them doing it if it was a few hundred people, or a thousand, but fourteen? Counter-productive in every single way.
  20. I'd have said fire sale because of the ownership change, but getting Koeman in is a bit of a...er..coup. He'll have an excellent youth system plus a fair wodge of cash to remodel the team the way he wants.
