As long as the old boys club and media will peddle the 'expectations' line then others will swallow it. Ashley is still our saviour in the eyes of many and Pardew a hard done by young British coach. One of the presenters on talksport just two days back, we're getting what we deserve as we got rid of Pardew. We started it all apparently. No idea which plank said it, stated it as matter of fact. Only got ourselves to blame obviously. t***. Why does anyone listen to Talkshite, still less get annoyed by anything they say? They consciously set out to wind-up.

I've got to be honest, I knew what was alleged to have happened but couldn't believe that a cover up on the scale that it had happened was possible. I didn't take the side of the police because I knew what they were like but I didn't for one minute think that the cover up of those proportions was possible in this country and I was wrong. I came at it from the other angle. As a fan at the time, I knew full well that what happened was possible - and inevitable, given prevailing attitudes. As such, I just felt there had to have been a cover-up. It just logically followed. I think it's impossible to convey to people who weren't around at the time how football fans were viewed by many, and not just those in power.

Please tell me you don't actually believe that? You don't think they might just prefer to come to Spurs? I posted somewhere else that I've heard variations on this from Liverpool, Man U and Newcastle U fans - about Alli. It just seems like a Football Manager mentality. There are so many other factors involved.

Liverpool will be top 4 next season. Heard it here first. not exactly a huge stab in the dark considering how well they're playing now and Klopp having a full offseason to prepare. Depends upon what happens in the rest of the season. If they win the Europa League then that puts them in the CL (?) which means more games but more money. If they fail but get into the Europa via their league position then I think they may struggle to get Top four just on weight of games. If they fail to qualify for either European trophy then I think they're a shoo-in for top four. If they win the Europa League and get into the CL then won't that actually mean less games? More than if they qualify for neither.
