  1. Honestly, if Pav was as good as he should be for the money we paid, he'd have a hat-trick.
  2. This is nuts, like the last 5 minutes of extra time.
  3. Modric looks fucked. Covered so much ground.
  4. Didn't think it was that bad tbh, even as a Spurs fan, though it was a foul and he can't keep on tackling with his studs up like that. Someone will get hurt. Jesus, just bloody score Spurs.
  5. Bloody centre-backs, Jesus wept, Woodgate, King, Kaboul, Gallas out, and our two on the pitch are limping. Centre-mids, Jenas, O'Hara, Hudd, Kranjcar out, and you could argue that VDV is a CM too. It's a miracle we're still in the hunt for top four.
  6. This is bloody nerve-wracking though, we're not great at defending a lead. Or at all.
  7. My cunning plan worked. I rule. Hey, it's a tough commute from the boondocks of Ohio! Ah, I knew there was one US Spurs fan, but couldn't remember which one it was. :-[ I like Leffe. He's a Spurs fan in the US on a Newcastle board. Respect. Only VI appear more random, but he's got the Sir Bobby connection so it's not. Yeah, used to live in Glasgow and was friends with a couple of Newcastle fans there. Best (wo)man was from Stakeford. I'm on a couple of Spurs boards, obviously, and use one or two others but, you know, this forum is really, really good. For us intelligent oldies, you know.
  8. It's mad, I looked down for a fraction of a second when he picked it up level with our penalty area; looked up and he was halfway into the Chelsea half.
  9. Hate that. Arsenal and Chelsea still clear of us, obviously, and it just builds a straw man. Would be more interesting if everyone was fit, I'm beginning to get seriously depressed by our injury list. Whenever someone recovers, another one gets injured.
  10. Put a pound on him to score on the strength of that post. Thanks. You're welcome! It doesn't always work, you've just got to say it in a really convincing manner. Chelsea looking the better so far, these are the games where we miss the VDV 4-5-1.
  11. My cunning plan worked. I rule. Hey, it's a tough commute from the boondocks of Ohio! Ah, I knew there was one US Spurs fan, but couldn't remember which one it was. :-[ Yeah, actually grew up near Spurs and used to walk to games, but I emigrated a couple of years ago. When the games are on the box here and I'm at home, I prefer seeing what other fans think during games. I know exactly what the Spurs fans will be saying!
  12. Essien studs up for the millionth time.
  13. My cunning plan worked. I rule. Hey, it's a tough commute from the boondocks of Ohio!
  14. Pav, Christ, becoming a real waste of space.
  15. Regardless of everything else, he clearly provides something to the squad otherwise he wouldn't have been on the pitch for the last couple of games. You need at least 4 centre-backs in the Prem I'd say, and he's a useful backup.
  16. Anyone see the Inverness CT goal against Rangers? Blinder.
  17. Spurs' ref against Twente. Jesus. Ranger put himself about well again. Hit and miss with the ball, but he's really put the wind up em.
  18. Had a good two minutes since you said that. Try someone else, Ranger?
  19. Have you not seen Mason before? Accident waiting to happen. Inspires no confidence whatsoever, even when he's being right.
  20. We've lost pics in the US. Last image was of blood everywhere. What happened to Ngog?
  21. Sometimes being in the US is frustrating. Straight after an ad break in which we're told about "the two legendary English teams, Chelsea and Manchester United" the commentator tells me that Pardew has already instilled great team spirit.
