  1. You see, this is what bugs me about Foy. You could see why he showed a red - although I think he was wrong - but he seems to be influenced by outside factors too much. I'm still livid about the Spurs match because it was a systematic favouring of one team over another. /stillbitter
  2. Probably not. Chris Foy is so weak it's disgusting. FYP
  3. I thought Jenas was still injured?
  4. Absolutely. Portland 3rd is pretty mint. I might have to invest in those Crew shirts too.
  5. What game have you guys got over there? We have Macclesfield, and it's cracking.
  6. I like the idea that Spurs and West Ham were somehow in collusion. We fucking hate each other! /Olympicstadium etc etc
  7. You see, coming from outside I don't entirely understand this thinking. I get that you have been saving money left, right and centre, but you've just had a transfer window where you picked up Ba, Santon and Cabaye - all cracking players - for not much money. That's you being good at transfers. Why assume that your default is to be bad? I do understand the "re-sale" thinking as that never seems far from Levy's mind, but the success of Parker should have shown that someone's worth right now is also important. Samba would clearly be a decent buy for pretty much everyone in the Premier League.
  8. Found it quite funny that they give Liverpool a B and us only B+. They spent shitloads; we made money on transfers. If we win our game in hand (so sick of saying this) we are joint second on points, eleven clear of Liverpool. They are a PR disaster area.
  9. How bad is Jag's injury, Neil? Any idea?
  10. "We're more shit than you!" "No, we're more shit than anyone!" I feel for you, lads.
  11. What is the general consensus regarding Corluka amongst Spurs fans, KD? Two that i know seem to think he is the worst player to have ever played football!! I think that we generally think he's OK, just slow. There's a perception that he partners well with Lennon, which may well be true. Clever footballer, but you always worry about his lack of pace getting exposed. I'd say that most fans think of him as not quite good enough for the first team but excellent back-up, particularly as he can do a job at CB/CM in a pinch. Not a great job, but decent enough.
  12. QFT. We had this identical conversation three years ago at Spurs. Villa fans are having it now. Liverpool's accounts are surely going to look like an absolute trainwreck if they even buy a couple of the players they are supposed to be considering in January.
  13. Yeah, saw that on Twitter. Heart attack. RIP. Xmas present apparently. His grandchildren were with him. Jesus. Apparently the commentator at the time was going on about the lack of atmosphere, which was unfortunate, as the crowd knew what was happening and were really quiet.

    Sunderland...

Quite. And not starting Silva made an enormous difference.

    Happy New Year

Me too Happy New Year everyone! Hope we win the league, then when the world ends in December we are Premier League champions forever. Thanks to everyone who makes this forum what it is.
  16. Just watching the QPR match. Norwich did a bit of a number on Barton, winding him up from minute one, then little niggly stuff off the ball just before the incident. He got in the other player's face, stupidly, then it didn't look like he made much of a move towards him. Reputation did some of the work, but mainly it just looks like a clever wind-up job. Worth it to see Warnock boil over again.
  17. Djourou got sent off & they brought on Rosicky and Squillaci, defeat was inevitable. yeah, I saw that, but they said that Fulham had been the better side in the second half anyway. Any tactical changes, or did Arsenal's mad pressing game tire them out?
  18. Fucking mint. Had gone out at half time with the wife, didn't want to watch any more, just as I dropped her off at work I checked and it was 1-1. Did Jol have a nice handshake with Wenger afterwards? Hehehehehehehe. As for Arsenal, what changed at half time?
  19. Arsenal looking really good, pressing well and coming forward smoothly. I see them as the most likely to get third at the moment. I realise their defence is iffy, mind.
  20. Did you actually watch the game? They had one of the worst midfield combinations that Liverpool have put out in years and we didn't try and press them, harry them, try and actually pass the ball between them, we just let them have the ball and do what the hell they wanted with it and every time we got it, we panicked and kicked it long straight back to them. Against the top teams that is the game that bucks the trend though, we've played well against Man Utd, City and Chelsea and did pressure them. If we'd played like we did at Old Trafford at Anfield we'd have beaten them. How long is this nonsense about Chelsea still being a top team going to be peddled? Apart from the fact they're still there or thereabouts, until Abramovich walks away there will always be the potential for them to spunk wads of cash. So, until he walks away. Still wouldn't surprise me if they got top four this year. Sorry lads, can't be unhappy about the finish to that game. Not that I think anyone will stop City taking the title. I am a little bit more pissed off that we couldn't hold on yesterday though, would have been a cracking outcome. Arsenal will be happier than anyone. Oh, and we had the full on "Stevie G" wankfest in the US today as well. Hope the fucker breaks his ankle next game.
  21. This is just fucking glorious. Sitting here with my popcorn, can't wait to see what happens next.
  22. good on them for not relinquishing modric Nah, Spurs sell all their players, that's the only reason they're as good as they are. berbatov and keane enabled them to get to the point where they could hold on to their players (then again had chelsea offered 40mill for modric i think he'd be in blue) No, I think Levy had nailed his colours firmly to the mast. Or his balls to the wall. Or something. I think it would have taken bonkers money - Torres money - and even then he might have said no on principle. Still, we just can't afford the wages to keep a big enough squad of those players happy for long. Have to expand the ground. There were Liverpool fans on RAWK talking about our need to just pay the big wages - how many times do you have to tell them about the concept of living within your means?
