  1. Spurs are losing Pape Matar Sarr as well, which is very significant alongside Bissouma.
  2. Lolz re: Levy. I think that would be extraordinarily unlikely. Range of predictions from Spurs fans generally seems to be anywhere from 4th to 8th. Ange has had a truncated pre-season and his best player sold, plus a significant amount of squad turmoil that is ongoing, with a couple of glaring issues. Promising beginnings, but it’s going to take a while and we’re going to concede a fair few. Likely top 9 is (in no order) Man City, Arse, Man U, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton, Villa, Spurs. Then a couple that might break in (West Ham? Brentford?). Of those, Arse and you guys are in the ascendancy and City are in pole position. Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea are curate’s eggs - who knows how they will settle out? Villa have Europe now and have already picked up a couple of injuries. Brighton have sold a lot of players but should do well again. IMO it’s wide open. AFCON, injuries and Europe will have a dramatic effect, just waits to be seen on who.
  3. Number one - get as much deadwood as possible out. Ideally sell but probably loan. Lloris will go (supposedly to Lazio), Hojberg will probably go to generate money although that leaves us thin at CM during the AFCON. Reguilon maybe gone to Spain if any Spanish clubs have money hidden behind the sofa. Ndombele will go to Saudi Arabia for £100M ?. Spence might get a loan somewhere. Then the other borderline guys at CB. Sanchez seemed on the way out but has had a good preseason and first game. Dier looks to be on his way out. Tanganga may go although his homegrown-ness might save him. That’s a ton of work there and realistically we need to ship out at least half-a-dozen. That will influence… Number two: The needs. Seems like whatever happens we will get a CF in. Might be Gift Orban but the money being quoted is steep. Whatever we do here I’d be amazed if we don’t try for Toney in January. CM if Hojberg goes. We’re going to be missing Sarr and Bissouma for the AFCON, and while Bentancur is expected back in November there are no guarantees. CB. If two out of Sanchez, Dier and Tanganga go I’d expect one CB in.
  4. They think it’s the Endo.
  5. Getting older, coming back from injury maybe a touch early. Also the general standard has improved around her. She used to stand out a mile.
  6. It’s like Keegans Export says. Nothing’s changed. People who are OK with the whole thing will be OK, people who are not OK won’t. Oppo fans who just want an excuse to jab will use it an an excuse to jab. I guess the only real issue is that it might give people who are very conflicted a bit of a nudge. No point worrying too much about optics at this stage.
  7. More importantly, because it’s artificial grass the fee is amortised over a hundred years.
  8. I’m going to send out a concern about us not selling players to Saudi for inflated prices. Ndombele and Al-Nassr is a match made in heaven.
  9. That tracks. I spent some time there in the 90s through an ex-girlfriend. Only visited occasionally since and not once since moving to the US in 2009. When I went back last year with the kids I was shocked at the vibes and apparent lack of co-ordinated investment but wondered if it was just a bad day.
  10. Yeah they were just talking about it on the Fighting Cock (Spurs podcast). He’s had so many chances to knuckle down and blown them all. Ange was his latest (and hopefully last) and he’s now blown this one too. A true waste of talent.
  11. Dunno. I know Atletico Madrid were the expected destination, but that’s been talked about for ages. What’s clear is that he’s going to be part of the clearout. If we can make it happen.
  12. He was terrific on Sunday. Maybe the most obvious example of Conte’s limitations. You can understand certain players not slotting in because they didn’t fit the scheme but not using Bissouma was just criminally stupid.
  13. Bissouma for £25M or whatever it was seemed like a bargain at the time, but now, bloody hell
  14. I was genuinely shocked at how (it seemed to me) Liverpool had declined since I was last there. Especially in comparison to Manchester. Might actually be a factor that people who have played here for a bit - like Lavia - might take into consideration.
  15. I think everyone complained about the first . Didn’t know about the other two. Couldn’t find them on Google. Not that they didn’t happen but would (genuinely) like to know. Would re-iterate - Liverpool are in a league of their own . Excepting maybe Everton fans, but that’s a different kind of crybaby.
  16. I feel like Liverpool are absolutely in a league of their own here, both off and on the pitch. What did we do?
  17. Yeah, not a chance they go for that. Everyone wants him. We’ve clearly already spent some of the Kane money, although his wages will free up a bit too. Can’t see us going too big for a replacement - there’s not really much available out there who wouldn’t want Champions League this year. Of course, if Brighton are at all receptive you throw money at them for Ferguson. But everyone will.
  18. Thought that was low-key quite good. Man City did what they do. I thought Burnley actually did OK for the most part just ultimately weren’t good enough and let in goals at just about the worst times. Haaland did what he’s paid for. I guess I just felt Burnley did about all they could do..
  19. Deliberate studs to the ankle when you’ve got not chance of getting the ball is a red I think. Particularly as Walker was away.
  20. Guy came on the pitch. From what they were saying he might have been trying to get to Alvarez.
  21. I reckon he knew what he was doing.
  22. That’s a pretty bad challenge tbh. He knew what he was doing.
