Ashley must be involved in the thought process though? He cant just have free reign with the money. Loans only make a level of sense if you're going for a player you wouldnt normally get who's got loads of potential, like Lukaku for West brom, Sturridge for bolton a few years back. Remy isnt above us atall. Ive no idea how hes justified this to Ashley if this is true, seems like a cock up.

Odd this like. Ashley said he wouldnt be doing loans not long back as he saw little value in them, let alone paying 2 million for a player to go back at the end of the season. Not sure where he'd see the long term value in that atall. If he agrees we need a striker he'd pay out for us to get one & hopefully raise his value. Otherwise he'll be shelling out next year again, makes no sense.

I dont understand how we stand off players so often, Noble had the ball with no one within 10 yards several times today. Downing nearly set up Nolan after receiving a throw in with no one around him. How is no one in our technical area up & shouting at the players as this happens? It cant be that complicated, let alone reviewing it after the game.
  4. Depends how much the fans demand transfers. Ashley probably see's arsenal with lots of money & a time limit/pressure to use it, they've recognised Cabaye as one place to spend & he'll be relying on that pressure increasing as the days go. thing is though is they really don't need him, Wilshire, Ramsey, Cazorla, and Rosicky for the more creative positions, Arteta and soon enough Flamini for the more defensive position in their side. So why in gods name would they spend in or around £20m for him when there is other positions they do actually need players for. Ask them, they put the initial bid in didnt they. They are willing to spend money on Cabaye, maybe not 20m but thats what Ashley is looking to test. He just wants a bidding war.

  6. Pretty daft tactic then as it shows Arsenal we are almost gagging to sell. No wonder they didn't bother increasing their bid. It just shows them hes available at the right price to keep bids coming in. Playing him might make clubs think we actually want to keep the lad, that doesnt help encourage bids.
  7. Kinnear is similar to Redknapp in the way he talks, you can imagine them sorting a transfer between them. Theyre from similar worlds. How he's going to do it with anyone else ive no idea.
  8. Same reason any side starts doing it surely? Desperation. Cant find your strikers with a simple pass so have a smash. Desperation really shouldn't be setting in after 20 minutes, tbf. Tells the story doesnt it. No belief in eachother to score, give it ben Arfa & hope for the best.
  9. Such was the incredible gulf in quality between ManCity's attack and Wham's today i would hope it would be. Well yeah. Theyve scored 6 goals in their last 14 away games & 5 of those were from players who werent playing today. Not sure we should be shouting from the rooftops about our CS.

  11. Not to say that wasnt an improved defensive performance, because it was.
  12. They had one shot on target, whether they should have scored or not for the majority of the game we restricted them to very little. Apart from a few occasions where Jarvis toyed with Debuchy i was quite pleased with the back 4, Anita and Sissoko. It's the front 4 which was a f*cking mess. They had an open goal from a simple cross about 35 yards out, Nolan saved us. Maiga had a similar free header in the first half. Our set pieces were bizarre to, Reid went through about 3 seperate times as the last man & was onside everytime. West Hams finishing is the reason we came away with a point today, for all our possession. They had the chances & we didnt bar a fluked cross.

    Papiss Cissé

He has no self confidence anymore, his runs are poor, hes weak, he flaps at the ball if it comes near him. We've seen his real potential but hes not half the player now. Hes done a Torres like & Ashley wont be happy about his investment.
  14. He was completely found out over there today towards the end though. Just block him cutting in with 2/3 players & on his right theres nowt.

    Alan Pardew

This was his go at giving us an attacking line up aswell.
  16. He was better today & supported the attack more in the 2nd half. We're going to crap it every game for the rest of the season a player runs at him one on one though.
  17. Our best player by far, only one who kept it together and consistantly created
  18. There were moments when every player going forwards bar Anita made huge errors. Sissokos control was awful in key moments, Ameobi just ruined play, Ben Arfa made poor decisions/kept failing on his right, Gouffran missed our best chances. The problem is the longer we dont create chances, the more they all bottle it.
  19. This. Gouffran is the last person i'm blaming for this. He had our best chance about 10 minutes earlier which was blocked. Still he gets in the positions to be fair to him, unlike Cisse nowadays
  20. Life is taking the piss out of us lads, if ever there was proof
