  1. He's had that TaylorandBesty off twitter at the training ground today explaining tactics to them apparently. http://www.squawka.com/news/newcastle-manager-benitez-invites-fans-for-tour-of-the-clubs-training-ground/765993
  2. Townsend was far more productive in a small period of time & has gone for how much less? Kante was one of a few main drivers behind Leicester winning the league & went for the same amount. Its a nuts fee for what he's shown.
  3. Spurs wont make a profit out of the deal either unless they sell him above what they've bought him for, its like any normal deal. Say they sell him having paid one installment of 6m, they'd have to resell him for atleast 24m for the next club to cover that amount. If they sold him for less, they'd be liable for whatever the new club underpaid by.
  4. Just playing devils advocate here (as I think playing hardball is the right precedent to set, similar to WBA with Berahino), but there have been plenty of big money transfers based on past form/reputation as opposed to the most recent performances. Point being, in theory he could sulk, not do much, and still get a move in January, probably for a lower price. Quite a few clubs would probably be willing to write off 5 months of doing nothing in the Championship as being down to being unsettled/unhappy, especially ones at the bottom end of the Premiership who'll be getting desperate. I'd be suprised if his conclusion to not getting a move now, was that grafting in the championship & doing well is what will get the likes of Spurs to up their bids. His performance at this level will have no relevance to a move of that level beyond showing good attitude to an extent. He's not too worried about that though given the interviews he's done.

Hope he's prepared to sulk for three years then. Berahino had a year left on his contract and West Brom still didn't budge. Right but he barely scored after that, wasn't that important to them staying up & they'll not get the same fee now if he does go. It works sometimes, does depend on the player though.
  6. Watching it back the tackle itself is just very poorly timed, he tries to clear it and completely misses the ball. The concerning part is he shows no instant concern that he's just taken out a players knee & runs off for the ball as if nothing happened.
  7. They both seem to have some semblance of interest in playing for NUFC and mild athleticism, so they are improvements in that sense. Yet neanderthals when on the ball and incapable of reading the game. We've spent 10mill on standing still. I could understand just about buying one of them....why 2 ? You're basing this on the concept that Rafa is incapable of improving a players performance? I'd guess he's looking for certain attributes in these players & believes he can bring the best out of them or that they fulfill certain criteria. Clark's been coached by who recently, Sherwood? Paul Lambert? You dont think he can learn from Benitez? He's bought two so we have cover. Mbabu looked class when I saw him, but he played fullback why would he cover a central position? He's gone on loan to a side that routinely get into Europe, hows that not good for his development?

That parts fine though, doubt is normal & sensible. Everyone has opinions. The laughable part is when people come with complete self assurance in their own opinions, calling it a shit transfer & creating conspiracy theories about the managers involvement. You cant claim to trust the manager, then go about slating the transfer's he approves. Its a nonsensical position & everyone should have learnt not to write people off by now.
  9. Matt Ritchie standing next to a freekick seems to go well haha
  10. Agreed. We seem to be arriving late for everything The yellow for Perez was the main one, he was literally just running. Then he and Ritchie get a booking for absolutely nothing.
