Horrible feeling we'll go 1 down again
-
just 4 hours to go to most likely see the outcome of our season
-
Oh how familiar that sounds
-
Yeah in the prem first in history apparently, just looked it up. Few of em are named here under punishment: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goal_celebration
-
Took his top off in a massively antagonistic way, blatantly revelling in his overly optomistic cathartic celebration ie: he took the piss Well id have to see it to judge properly, but id think it were a joke if any player was sent off for winding up the crowd through celebration of a goal.
-
Loads of players have got a second yellow for celebrating. Cant think of many off hand, as i say think its nonsense regardless ive probably disregarded them
-
Whatd ronaldo do in his celebration ? Has a player ever been sent off for his celebration ? Would be nonsense if it happened anyway.
-
also if we'd made about 100 different decisions this season we could be fighting for a european place. Its all the same, lots of endless cock ups...can pick them all out one by one
-
VERY VERY good results for us today, we have to take advantage.
-
Or for the people with half decent observational skills. You can say what you want about his "potential" to be good, thats severely debatable and rarely backed by any logical arguments. But no one can say he's been anything but shocking this season for his price tag/status before he came.
-
So Bolton, Stoke, Hull & Sunlun all 1-0 down, fragile but good so far. We want some thrashings tho
-
To be honest, most do have us getting a win. http://community.footballpools.com/pundits/ Hansen & Barnes have both pretty much correctly predicted nearly all the results of our recent games going back into 2008 so lets hope they keep getting it right.
-
Even Al's giving a chance to Ameobi, Carroll & Ranger. He hasnt even mentioned Xisco. So he's clearly not doing something right.
-
On the other hand, you get the fringe players giving 110% effort to try and force their way into the Champions League Final team, and hammer Hull anyway. If portsmouth had won they'd have been more or less safe from relegation which is the last thing we want at this point, the more teams in it the better. Especially with some of the fixtures they have...they'll have a big say in which sides are down in it...the more motivated they are the better.

1-0 already ? good stuff

we havent won at home this year, but we will win the next three?...not I personally don't think we will now, but for the last month we knew that's what it would boil down to. Did we really expect much from Chelsea & Arsenal at home, and Stoke & Spurs away? i predicted we needed 10 points back then, the stoke point plus the three home wins, and as you say, we're on course. as i mentioned earlier, we also havnt lost at home this year against teams outside the top 4. in fact, we havnt been beaten since sept by a team outside the top 4. Interestingly positive stat that that i just checked out, you're right. Since september we've played 9 games at home against sides outside the top 4. We havent lost one. We have scored atleast 2 goals in 7 out of the 9 games....the other two being the 1-1 draw with sunlun without Owen/martins & the 0-0 with Everton when we went down to 10 men early. So looking at that.....as long as our strikers stay fit & we dont get any players sent off. We'll get atleast two goals and we wont lose the game. Pheeeeeew - We can all relax then. How many of those 9 games did you win? Lets not focus on the insignificancies
-
Portsmouth playing tonight against Man u, so hopefully man U will run them ragged and theyll be tired on Monday

No I've hated the guy for years. He symbolises everything wrong with the club, ridiculous transfer fee, horrible wages, s***, "big name" waste of space. His ball retention is the only part of his game we see. Not seen him have a shot for a few matches. He holds us back when he in in a front two. Carrol was more effective on Sunday by a country mile, but most of his work was sheer determination, not ability. Or the fact that all our attacking passes were aimed at his head
-
The only things i can see saving our season: Owen being played behind the front men in a 4-3-3 with Martins and Viduka Barton coming back Guthrie being given a chance to start Anything else has pretty much been tried and failed
