He has no intelligence. He has the physical attributes to be a top footballer & little awareness of how to improve or make the best use of it. Given him slack recently, but interviews like this just prove the same thing. Id not be fussed if he left, i dont rate him as highly as many on here.

I don't like saying it, but the sending off might be good for him in the long run if it makes him less reckless in the tackle. He's going to miss 3 games now when he was clearly champing at the bit to be in the starting line up. don't think i've ever disagreed with you about football stuff Tron but your attitude about this amazes me, he's not actually put a dirty f***ing challenge in since he joined yet has 2 yellows and a red it's utter nonsense, you're buying his reputation as much as the refs are He's just brought his studs down on someones foot & the first game he went flying in. Swansea game looked a bit of a nothing incident. Red is a bit harsh but dont go too far the other way man, the lads speciality isnt tackling from what we've seen. He needs to be more careful with how he makes challenges.

Defensively we look superb, i missed much of the game last week. Today the interceptions & reading of the game from our defence was brilliant. I actually saw Haidara ease Giroud off the ball from a 1 on 1 situation like it was nothing. You can see we're a much better side already.

Just seen Williamson goal, lovely back post freekick from Thauvin headed straight in.
-
Rooney will be fine this season, was doing well last till he was randomly put back into midfield after a successful stint upfront.
-
Im hopeful for that. Dont know much about Collapsed lungs, but i imagine Dejong's return to fitness may have been a bit more careful this pre season than some of the others. May still be working his way back into it.
-
Actually agree with you. I blamed Haidara on here, having watched the goals a few times since he is getting outnumbered by two men. Probably because Obertans wanting to break away if we get back possession, means he completely leaves his man though.
-
I really like the little shoulder nudges he does, dunno if anyone noticed. Did one when Mane was pretty much through when they chipped one over the top & couldnt stand his ground to control it. Very subtly puts them off balance, but its too small a motion for it to look a foul.
-
I'd agree with that. Think Vurn is pivotal to the way we played today though, dropping between the CB's to start the play. A role where if you lose the ball it's very, very noticeable as you're exposed. Can you imagine Tiote in that role? Would be absolute suicide. Thing is we'll get nowhere playing both Colback and Anita. They both did ok but they take up 2 places in a side where 1 player should do. Wignaldum looks a star and De Jong looks a bit surplus to requirements. We need a left back and Obertan can't continue. First half we were dreadful down the left but late on their fitness and was helpful Eh, we'll get nowhere except looking like winning today against a side that got into Europe last season?
-
Who contributed more today, Obertan or Sissoko. Discuss.

Not having this, it's so overly negative Enlighten me where you disagree then? It's absolutely fair. I thought we played quite well btw, embarrassing lack of fitness though at the end. Bit harsh to say no one had a particularly good game when we've outplayed one of the better side from last season for about 70 minutes. Id say most had a good game, only a few were better than good. Our organisation was solid, our passing was good. They created barely anything for most of the game, except 2/3 crosses till our switches.

It's not Anita going off that changed things in itself, it's Tiote coming on and changing the entire composition of our midfield by making us a lot deeper. This in turn exacerbated by De Jong coming on and staying much further upfield than Wiijnaldum. Its not Anita going off, its Tiote coming on and playing differently to Anita? I agree with your second point but first one doesnt make sense like
-
Aye need to resist that, think though we were just trying to involve him & half the team didnt have the legs anymore.
-
Basic Summary would be: + Can see our passing & movement is superior by far already + Retention of the ball was far better, even in tricky spaces + Mbemba looks a good controlled defender + Wijnaldum could've had two, movement is very good. + We looked relatively dangerous from corners again + This is a good result - Haidaras positioning defensively is poor, he will allow crosses - Our defenders are clearly weaker in the air - We need to hope Anita's alright on that evidence, Tiotes not up to it atm - Aarons should've been involved On this evidence though, we have a coaching set up that will actually notice our weaknesses & look to improve them. Overall, positive game.
-
Agreed. I can't understand why he didn't put more pace on when people were starting to get leggy. All three subs are slow and we just got deeper and deeper. You could see how much space opened up in the middle after the injury & those subs. Comination of Anita not busting a gut & Dejong not tracking back like Wijnaldum does.
-
Tiote looked miles off the pace, hope thats just lack of fitness. At one point he tried to stand his ground in an imposing manner when the guy with the ball had about 3 options either side of him. Made no sense.
-
Colbacks no world beater but he has saved us a point today far more than cost us one. Was the only man to track manes run past the last man several minutes before he got us a point with a ridiculous block.
-
We could've easily conceded 5 goals, man. Yeah i just mean the 2nd goal was massively defendable. We were so in control till that moment. They probably should've won it after that i agree.
-
Meh. Should've won that.
-
The fuck are our players, close them down!
-
Tiote for Anita has destroyed us. So much space in the middle now.
-
Colback has saved us from goals twice now.
-
Haidara cant defend. Buy a left back.
-
Yup. They had more possession in the build up to that 2nd goal than they have all game, no coincidence he's just gone off & no one was bursting out to pressurise them.
