Literally just turned it on

I predict a future highlights vid will be set to this music:
-
That 20 year old has scored against top level competition in the CL, he's a lot more experienced than his age gives credit for. True but the context is a bit different also. New team for him, more pressure from a big transfer, teams entire style of play is being rebuilt right now, new players getting used to eachother. A lot has to click & work together. Another striker right next to you instantly takes some of that off & at the very least takes the attention of one of those Cb's. Just bored of watching one striker get isolated for us. Maybe Mclaren will sort that out, been the same story so far pre season though. Needs improvement.
-
Dont see how you can leave Cisse out. You're asking a lot of a 20 year old to take on both central defenders in his first season.
-
Not sure playing with one lad upfront has worked superbly for us for a while.
-
This is my concern with it though, we need a striker who can do the business straight away. Potential is great if it stays with you, for that to happen the status of our club needs to go up again in the here and now. Know nothing about this lad, if he's better than Austin at 20 fair play. I think we need someone who comes in firing though. Otherwise the potential we're paying for will just result in a higher transfer fee if he does start stepping up.
-
Hes crap on the wing, a position he should never have been playing anyway. What more can you say.
-
Daniel Ainsworth @Ainsworth1980 46m46 minutes ago Charlie Austin to Newcastle is a DONE DEAL. Mike Ashley was reluctant to pay that much, but Steve McClaren managed to convince him. Claims to be an editor for ESPN. Most on his page seem good calls though, claims Matip fell through due to wage demands. Edit: Claimed Bas Dost would be signing back in June. Likely Bs.
-
Exactly. Those fan forum minutes were a shambles what with brushing "last season" under the carpet. A few remotely inoffensive and cliche laden emails from their new PR front man do not mean that they have fundamentally changed anything sadly. What are you expecting them to say about last season? While i agree they've made a consistant mess of everything, i dont actually get the point of them even bothering to address it at this point either really. Nothing but action on the pitch really means anything to anyone. Trying to get an admittance of failure on a public forum isnt really beneficial to the club, Ashley coming out was an admittance of defeat to be honest. They're run the club with poor intention & he either realises it causes it to fall apart or he doesnt. Again only action means anything, they've admitted screwing it up previously only to continue to do so.

It means nowt obviously. Id prefer we didnt try Gouffran on the wing. No problem with the result, defence looked dodgy, we looked light upfront & created little from the wing. Oddly similar to what everyone wants in transfers.
-
Better there. Still think Cisse needs more support, Dejong gets it often & has little infront of him.
-
Sissoko forgetting he could physically dominate everyone else on the pitch again
-
Anita & Sissoko pretty nonexistant so far. Gouffran/Dejong/Colback managing to find the ball constantly though.
-
Going well so far
-
Pardew brought in Carver because hes from Newcastle & hes from Newcastle. Hes also from Newcastle. Mcclaren has brought in staff who have shown an ability to get a side playing decent football & coupled it with a promising young coach who has just helped a european side get into the champions league, is hungry to learn & improve further. Its going ok so far. We actually seem to be making logical decisions, potential is there & we're trying. Ive missed that.
-
agree about anita though i'm not sure he'll get as far as he should due to the surplus of midfielders we've got Mclaren keeps referring to how we played in the west ham game and Anita was pivotal in that performance. That plus the Dutch football links and style of play, I agree he'll come in more now. Hope so anyway.
-
Asking a lot to rely on a youngster as of yet, certainly one not proven in the championship. Williamson for me isn't even solid cover, we'll get an injury, he'll come in and do his usual decent headed clearances while being directly responsible for a few goals via moments of slowness or stumbling over the ball. It should be Colo/Saylor and some new lad.
-
Reckon we'll get one also. Realistically we need Williamson off the books & we cannot cover for both Colo/S Taylor weaknesses.
-
Quality signing. Now for another few please, great start.
-
Wheres this lad going to play if he holds down the same position as Dejong. Seems a very good signing for an odd position.
-
Kane's form dipped the second he got into the England team, looks a mentality issue. He had 11 in 8 prem games before he then scored seconds into his England debut. Got 2 goals in the 8 after that. He'll be a top player, needs to keep wanting to prove himself & not get carried away with what he's done.
-
We've a managing director whos decided not to bother in cups, so we'd not get injuries for the premier league. Ignoring the potential risks of discouraging an entire fan base, demoralizing everyone around the club, having players who see us only as a stepping stone & pressure on absolutely everybody. But we might have saved an injury. Hey Pards has left, lets not bother with a manager for half a season, what could go wrong. OH nearly relegated. These people are in charge of working out the risks of not acting quickly & making decisions that would appease a discouraged fanbase. Honestly step one would be get Charlie Austin. A proper potential England number 9 at Newcastle as cliche as it is, could not be a more obvious right decision.
-
I doubt it. Might get £10m for him, otherwise clubs will just wait until next season. QPR can't afford to lose him for nothing next year. Not that fussed if we lose out either. He'd be a useful addition but he's looks basically like Fletcher from Sunderland when he was in form. Knows where the goal is, but doesn't look that special either. Quite a lot of opinion there having said you've not seen much of the player on the first page.
-
Well Austins not played, suppose thats good?
