Doubt it, it'll be the usual 4-3-3 with Milner in the centre for De Jong, I think. Edit: Gray and hairyhands agree.

No doubt.

Christ, they're trotting them out tonight aren't they

Balotelli's hat!

They've recently had their fingers burnt with fellow Dutch journeyman Dick Advocaat, who did a very poor job. They've gone with a more known quanitity this time round with a Belgian who managed them back in the 90s, but he hasn't had the best of starts either. Anyway, Hiddink is contracted to Turkey atm.

200/1 now on Bet 365. Possibly due to being 4th in their qualifying group atm.
-
The likes of Mertens and Chadli you haven't even mentioned. They've got an exceptional generation coming through atm, but it's being severely wasted.

Vermaelen.

I'd imagine there's a chance of screwing it up again. They can never get a settled side, and the young players all have ridiculous egos.

If the Tiote signing and Legear link is anything to go by I'd imagine we've been scouting Holland/Belgium. If so then we could do worse than Ronald Vargas of Club Brugge. Plays as an attacking midfielder or a wide player on both sides, Venezuelan international and has scored 12 goals in 19 games this season. Been linked with teams in Spain recently and might be a good alternative/subsititute to Ben Arfa. Work permit might be a problem, though, unless he's got Belgian citizenship yet. (only takes a few years to obtain a Belgian passport)

YES! Starting to go mad without the footy. Same.

Inter have had 43 seperate injuries this season. 43 Yet suddenly the entire squad is fit and available for the Club World Championships? There's rabbit off here like, the players clearly hate Rafa and wont play for him - so hopefully the rumours of his sacking are true.
-
Even spelt his name wrong ffs

No way that is Vuckic like.

I thought so. I often notice this season he seems to be spending a lot of time deep in midfield, often alongside Xavi and Iniesta, and couldn't quite remember if that had happened as much last season. I guess replacing Zlatan with Villa has made that switch easier, Ibra seemed to want to spend time on the ball and do a lot of the work that Messi is at the moment. The system seems to be functioning well at the moment though, rather than relying on Messi for his goals you're having him assist the others and spread the goals around well. It's a beautiful machine right now, even better to watch than the 08/09 team.
-
Messi is racking up the assists though, he's already got more this season than he did through the whole of last season. Is this down to a tactical change?
-
He's playing a dangerous game, but he's always been adept at playing everyone around him. As long as he brings results he won't be sacked, but he's making it so if he ever struggles there won't be an eyelid batted. He seems to firmly have all the players not named Canales, Benzema and Pedro León at his side, which I guess it's what matters and why he's doing all this. Completely unrelated, but have you seen this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010%E2%80%9311_La_Liga#cite_note-20 Marca has awared Pepe's goal from earlier in the season to Cristiano Ronaldo, keeping him ahead of Messi for the Pichichi. You'd never guess Marca was a Madrid paper, eh.

The San Paolo has nearly always had an awful pitch from what I can remember. The ground is decrepit and basically falling apart, like most of Naples. The passion for football in the city is absolutely incredible though, they got 50,000 for a match when they were in Serie C.
