Real Madrid look very ordinary when Xabi Alonso isn't on the pitch. Lass/Khedira central midfield not going to create much apart from despair, so they are just bypassing it. I remember having that midfielder debate when Inter were trying to sign Mascherano, a Cambi - Masch midfield would have never worked IMO. Need a passer of the ball in there or you just split the side in half.

Still don't think it would work, they have no real finisher or target man in there. (It's worked for the majority this season in a 4-3-3 and relying on Zlatan being a one man team again)

Who are their better players? I know they have FM legend Henok Goitom. Another FM legend from a couple of years ago, Pablo Piatti. (VI likes him I think)

Love how Messi seems to play much deeper now, makes me think that when he loses his pace he'll turn into a Zidane type.

That would never work in a billion years, man. Zlatan, Cassano and Robinho would spend the entire time dropping into midfield, looking to create, only to then stand and admire their own passes once attempted. There's essentially 3 playmakers and a wide-forward there, ffs. You'd then be leaving the creaking legs of Gattuso, Pirlo or Ambrosini to hold for that lot...

How the flying f*** are they going to fit Cassano, Robinho, Zlatan and Pato into one line-up? It's insane. They're fucking signing all my favourite players though. Only a matter of time before they swoop for Enrique and Carroll.
