  1. Before the New Zealand game today SKy had the goal stats at that point: 2010 - 18 goals 2006 - 27 goals 2002 - 31 goals We're definitely behind this time round Was just about to say this. It's been poor, a lot poorer than previous tournaments. As i keep saying, it was the group stages in 2006 that had all the excitement. After Mexico/Argies in the Last Sixteen (which was a belter) - it died completely, and it's started in the same fashion. However, so long as Germany, Argies, Spain and probably Brazil are all still in it - there'll be a good game just around the corner. Disappointingly cagey so far though. Part of the fun of the World Cup is seeing smaller teams go for it, teams with the odd star player (like Slovakia today and Hamsik) shining against others. I don't think we normally have to rely on the big teams to provide entertainment - it should be reasonably exciting throughout with the exception of the odd dud game. This whole thing has been boring so far though.

  3. Can't believe he's only 31, thought he was much older than that tbh.
  4. Surely not. My West Ham supporting mate will be besides himself. It was on SSN's yellow ticker before and I think they had his agent on the phone. Seems like it's almost certain to go through. I'd be over the moon to see him in the Prem like.

  6. Good lord, that has actually made me very happy
  7. I'd rather saw my own foot off than see him in a Newcastle shirt.
  8. I'm convinced it's gonna be an absolute thriller.
  9. Yeah he has end product to his dribbling aswell, gets a good amount of goals. I'd like to see the Dutch drop VdV and go with Robben and Elia out wide.
  10. Aye I'm looking forward to seeing him aswell. He really impressed me in the Greece friendly not long ago. I was reading on another forum that he has South Korea citizenship, surely WP wouldn't be too much of an issue if that's the case?
  11. They got rid of that rule last year, U21 caps no longer lock players anymore. Hence why Algeria have been able to exploit it so much.

  13. I think North Korea - Brazil is fascinating, I'm looking forward to seeing the North Koreans out of curiosity. I want to see the NK Fans. No actual Norks there as expected I don't think.. There is a fanclub set up made up of English and Chinese fans I think, who have travelled to given them some kind of support.
  14. I know the man's an idiot etc but I cannot help but be sickened by Chelsea demanded £14.3 million off him. It's just obscene.
